Racke hurt his arm in 3rd quarter and Heflin had 2 good runs playing qb. Racke came right back in the game and through a 56 yard td. The kid is tough!

#11 the Lucky kid had 7 catches 99 yards 1 td. # 14 had 4 catches 70 yards 1 td and 76 yards rushing 1 td.

Both very good players. I saw that the first go round. If the pioneers can get them the ball it will be a long night for Dixie.

Powell obviously with a great game but SK seemed to get the big play from several kids at the right time:

Chris Hicks with several key plays at the right time on D. Seemed to keep the team excited.

Deaton with the biggest hit of the game on a screen play that jarred the ball loose for an in-completion.

SK's entire D-line going up against some huge kids but battled all night.

Cole Murray with the nail in the coffin play; catch, run and score with a huge block from Heflin. On the kick-off, he made a tough play on the onside kick.

Heflin getting 4 yards on a 4th and 3 while Racke was getting attended to.

Winkler's defense; breaking up a pass play deep in SK territory on 4th and long; could have maybe caught the ball but SK better off just knocking it down.

Congrats! Cold night but not nearly as cold as the 2008 playoffs.

A big hats off to the O-line making holes for Powell!

Lafayette had a great season. They are the best team SK played this season.

... .??? I'm confused. Your best opponent lost to you, yet Dixie beat the pioneers by how much? And how long ago was that?

Tune in next week! :D

And that is the challenge. Dixie has a very good defensive backfield.

I couldn't agree more. They never get any love and even I have been tough on them this year. #60, #77, #67, #75, #54 Job well done.

I told uk#1fan that Lafeyette D line was small and cannot stop the run and it showed tonight. Didn't I tell ya uk#1fan. Scouting report baby.

Congrats to Coach Marksberry on his 100th W.

Lafayette is a very talented team. They hurt themselves badly with a holding call that killed one drive, a roughing call that extended an SK drive that SK scored on, and two lost fumbles in the first half. SK built a 21 -7 lead at half, and the rest of the game was even.

While the coaching staff is to be congratulated for SK playing two turnover free playoff games, I believe the 12 pass attempts by Racke will not be enough to beat Dixie. I don't see a steady diet of read options and flanker screens being enough. SK needs to attack the field vertically, as well as laterally in order to move the ball against Dixie.

Fastest kid on the field lastnight!
