Where is the line that says what Americans who have broken another country's laws get help and which ones do not?

 

 

I think it's a case by case basis. When you get information that one of your citizens is being abused while being held in another country, your government should react and make sure he is being treated right. And again, since he was just an American citizen, not representing the government on any secret mission, the American people have a right to know what's going on to help him.

US govt worked through govt channels such as ambassadors.

The govt is not going to tell us what they did or did not do. So how do we know they did nothing?

 

Please. Had Obama or his administration had ANYTHING to do with his release you know as well as I do it would have "leaked".

This happens dozens of times each month where US citizens cross into Mexico with weapons and are detained. All are detained at least a few months Where is the outcry for them?

 

Again, we gave Mexico $2 billion over the past 5 years to help them enforce their own laws, but now we want them to ignore their own laws?

 

Back in May I said it would be a few months before he was released. Besides, if he wouldn't have lied to the Mexican authorities about never being in Mexico before, when in fact he was several times, one time being that morning when he walked in.

 

Sorry, but citizens don't need to know every detail that the government is doing.

I like Fox but fully admit it leans right...most other media leans just as hard left. Van Susteren is not a big conservative - sorry, she just is not. If it were Sean Hannity doing the reporting, I would see your point more. If Fox is so bad BTW, why does it get more viewers than any of the other cable news stations? And it is not even close.

I missed that this young man was released. Not sure when that happened.

 

I came across a tweet that said he was arrested in Indiana for weed.

My nephew was telling me about that, happened over in his neck of the woods in Dearborn county. Said he got like 25 days. Who gets 25 days?

 

After what he's been through I'd buy the pot for him.
