Scott / S.Oldham

I see this game ending 4-1. South Oldham is a very solid team, and they have lots of talent. However, they don't have enough players who can really thin out Scott's defense and create scoring opportunities.

Just to give everyone an idea of how good Scott's offense really is: Prior to Saturday night, Trinity hadn't given 3 goals to a team in Kentucky since September 28th 2011. The trio of Morgan, Schneider and Treadway give the Eagles the best offense in the state.[/QUOTE]

Definitely the most potent......

Have you seen everyone in the state?

For reference, in 23 games South Oldham has given up 17 goals. In 22 games Scott has given up 19. I don't see a kid from either school listed in goals scored but Morgan is listed as 6th in assists averaging 1 per game.

Has anyone?

You said they were the best offense in the state. You must get around. Either way, should be an interesting day for the final four considering the forecast of 70% chance of rain.

I think the bigger picture is that when you put the three together, Schneider with 28 goals, Treadway with 28 goals, and Morgan with 14 goals you can see how strong they are as a unit!

With that thought process we should get rid of all state and national rankings. I doubt the voters have seen everyone they rank.

No way to judge either offense or defense by looking at goals scored...........strength of schedule, how one team plays against lesser talent ( ie pulling up JV, playing reserves, keeping starters in to score, etc)......

Any common opponents? Trinity perhaps?

South Oldham lost to Trinity 1 to 0 - Scott beat Trinity 3 to 2

South Oldham lost to Ky Country Day 3 to 1 - Scott beat KCD 2 to 1

South Oldham beat Highlands 2 to 0—game ended due to lightning - Scott vs Highlands 2 to 2

South Oldham beat Ballard 2 to 1 - Scott beat Ballard 3 to 1

With that thought process we should get rid of all state and national rankings. I doubt the voters have seen everyone they rank.

Don't get your drawers in a wad. Just a pretty ballsy statement without any stats or first hand account to back it up. It will all play out soon enough. At least the forecast looks better. Scott may win 10-0, who knows?

spindoc..

Have you seen South Oldham play and if so what style do they play and are an attacking team or more like Trinity who seemed to be ok with just moving the ball around the midfield and wern't real excited to attack unless it was a perfect play?

I've seen them play twice. I'm no soccer expert, but I thought they defended well both times I watched them play. They moved the ball well and had considerably more shots on goal than their opponent. Saw them against St.X and at Shelby Co.

I have it on video...not 50/50, If this thing would let me upload a video everyone could see it is blatant. To me the, pic looks like it too.
