Oh..to be in the bottom half of this bracket! You never know how things will play out, but this thing seems tremendously unbalanced.

Oh it is, you can make an argument that the best 10 teams are on the top side of the bracket.

I don't think there's much argument. The best teams are all on one side of the bracket.

Copied and pasted from the 4-A thread where I erroneously posted it.

Disclaimer: The 3 way tie-breaker makes my eyes bleed and I usually get it wrong.

That said I THINK that if Bryan Station beats Ballard they win the district. I know that there are several other games that play a role but after looking at all of them it comes down to that.

Here's how I come to that conclusion.

Assuming Scott County beats Senaca they have 8 wins:

Lafayette-7 points

Ryle-4 Points

PRP-5(6) Points

Madison Central-3 points

North Hardin-2 Points

GR Clark-3(4) Points

Dunbar-3(4) Points

Seneca-5 Points

Best case scenario 23 total points using Lafayette, PRP, GR Clark and Seneca

Henry Clay is idle. They have 6 wins:

GR Clark-3(4) Points

Tates Creek-3 Points

Boone County-1(2) Points

Lafayette-7 points

Madison Central-3 points

Dunbar-3(4) Points

Best Case scenario 19 points using GR Clark, Tates Creek, Lafayette and Dunbar

Assuming Bryan Station beats Ballard they will have 6 wins:

Harlan County-2 Points

Lexington Catholic-6(7) Points

Tates Creek-3 Points

Lafayette-7 points

Dunbar-3(4) Points

Ballard-6 Points

Best Case scenario 24 points using LexCath, Lafayette, Dunbar and Ballard.

LexCath's final game is with Boone County. Assuming that is another point for Bryan Station even if Dunbar loses and Scott gets all the points they can from others Bryan Station still ties them in points and I believe then it goes head-to-head so Bryan Station gets the nod.

I like NKY's chances in the first round. I see 3 wins.
