What all of this boils down to is How Bad Do You Want A Championship ? Rams, are you satisfied with the 19/20 (unsure?) District Title Trophys that are in that case or Do You Want to Add Another ?

I can promise you that Paintsville plans on taking that title from you and they will be sky high, playing hard to get it, no doubt about that.

 

Rams, you have to have more desire than Paintsville, be more prepared, more focused, more diciplined, out hustle, out play, out hit.....the most Physical Team usually wins these kind of games........it's up to you Rams. All of the post, talks rants and whatever else are meaningless -- YOU Make the Difference ......MAKE IT HAPPEN !

They have permantely damaged name/reputation but have helped them on the field in various seasons since around 2001 / 02 or so - the first one was Chris Jennings - brought in with the same procedures used in recent years by the then coach to principal B. Musik ....one and same as superintendent now. So, if they really waned to the KHSAA could probably go back as far as Jennings, and years he was there along with other out/state kids brought in and strip wins, distict titles in 3very season those kids played in.l All were the same set up - living in same house in question owned / rented (with rent free) for the football season-school year, which btw the "rentals" owned by the same coach to principal to superintendent involved in all.

That really doesn't matter. Every person on our roster played at Raceland from at least 7th grade on. So, no, no transfers.

What I am trying to say, we have had kids who moved to our school that did make a difference on the team, but they didn't move for Raceland football.

As usual, a Raceland thread devolves into a transfer mudsling. Raceland absolutely gets transfers just like everyone else. But why we act like they don't is beyond me. As a matter of fact, I saw a former Raceland player who transferred from Russell this morning. He wasn't much of a player but he came from there nonetheless. I saw him in the mirror brushing his teeth.

When we talk about transfers, we talk about illegally. Dang straights we get transfers, but the transfers don't come for football 9/10 times. Kids who move from Greenup to Raceland are moving because of the education. Kids who move Russell to Raceland is either because the involvement of drugs at Russell is ridiculous or because of the politics there. I know this because I played with kids who transferred. But none of them transferred during their years with the varsity. The reason Raceland has a good program is because the team is close and tightly knitted. It is hard to have a transfer mid season or during their four years at Raceland because the team didn't grow up with the transferred kid. It sounds crazy but the closeness within the program contributes a lot to the success of a program.
