Who wins?

Depends on which version of both teams show up. Both teams have played really well at times, and really bad. The game is at SO, which is a tough place to play. Scott has to get out to a quick start offensively, and if they come out in a groove, they are tough to stop. If they are making mistakes, committing penalties, etc, it could be a long night. Scott blasted Grant County in horrible weather 43-0 while South beat them 21-9. South though, beat Cooper and Cooper blasted Scott. This has the potential to be a very good game. If Scott wins, they have the inside track to the 2 seed (but will still have to beat Conner). If South wins, they still have a shot at the one seed. In the beginning of the year, I would have picked South to win this game. I have no clue how this will turn out.

Scott has the potential to win this battle ....key is they need a defensive or special teams score as well as a balanced offense. Number 5 linebacker for s.o. and the size of S.o. line could give scott a fit. If coach can find away to move the ball and control tempo and clock it could be close. Good luck fellas this one, is an important one.

If I understand it correctly if South Oldham wins they lock up the one seed. However if South Oldham loses they will fall to the 4th seed. Huge game for both teams.

District 5 in 5A has always been IMO the most Competitive district in NKY

This is a perfect way to decide the seedings if you ask me seeing how it will be the last year that S Oldham Cooper and Conner will all be in the same district with Scott and GC. Cooper and Conner move up to 6A next year and they along with S Oldham have battled for the 1 seed in the district until the end the majority of years.

If S Oldham wins they get the 1 seed and Cooper the 2 and Conner I believe the 3 (if they beat Scott) and Scott 4

If S Oldham loses then it goes

Cooper

Conner

Scott

S Oldham

I believe.

Scott actually is moving to 4A after this year and Scott has south Oldham this week and hosts conner at Scott next Friday. Next 2 weeks very crucial for Scott.

Actually, it's a litle more complicated because Scott and Conner still have to play next week. And all of these scenario's assume Conner and Cooper beat Grant County. If Grant County wins one of those games it gets really messy.

If Scott beats SO AND Conner next week, it goes:

1. Cooper (3-1, wins tiebreaker because they beat Scott)

2. Scott (3-1)

3. Conner (2-2 and holds tiebreaker over SO)

4. South Oldham (2-2)

If SO wins, and Scott beats Conner it goes--

1. SO (3-1 holds tiebreaker over Cooper)

2. Cooper (3-1)

3. Scott (2-2 and would hold TB over Conner)

4. Conner (2-2)

If Scott Wins and loses to Conner it goes--

1. Cooper (3-1 holds tiebreaker over Conner)

2. Conner (3-1)

3. Scott (2-2 holds tiebreaker over SO)

4. South Oldham (2-2)

If Scott loses to SO AND Conner it goes to the 3 way tiebreaker. Conner probably gets 3 even if they beat Cov Cath as they'd only have wins over two opponents outside of district, one of which is against a 1 win Holy Cross team. Both Cooper and S. Oldham have tough final games (Cooper plays Dixie, SO plays Bullit Central) which would play a big part in the tiebreaker. I think South Oldham would have the edge if they win their final game, as Bullit will likely be undefeated.

1. South Oldham (3-1)

2. Cooper (3-1)

3. Conner (3-1)

4. Scott (1-3)

Feel free to check my math, but I think this is all correct. So it looks like Cooper is pretty much locked in to host a playoff game, assuming they beat Grant. Scott has to win out to host a playoff game. And again, if Grant County trips up Cooper or Conner, it gets really messy. And forget it if Grant wins both those games. You'll need a slide rule to figure everything out.
