Purple88 Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 Is there a thread started for the T vs Male game yet? Will be a great game!
Coach NotNow Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 Wow! Some good games this weekend. This poll may be a lot different next week.
75center Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 Wouldn't change anything but looking at the matchups there's a ton of nice games coming up this week. Have to think Dixie is just out of the top ten given how they're playing recently.

ATLCat Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 I like it... NKY 6A is less than impressive though thusfar. if Dixie beats SK I am not sure a NKY team has earned the right to crack the Top 10 the rest of the year.
CoachBuckett Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 Dixie has a chance to stake a claim to the top 10 with a win this week. They held a spot earlier in the season. This is a game I most want to see the outcome. Think we may learn a little more about SK.

theguru Posted October 13, 2014 Author Posted October 13, 2014 For the record, we have Dixie at #11 and I think both them and Simon are very solid 6A football teams.
ATLCat Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 Please explain. Lots of parity it seems. Boone County gets ran by Lafayette and Henry Clay (not even the two best Lex Area 6A teams) but they push SK to their limit? Ryle gets crushed by Scott County and lose to a bad Shelby County team... yet push SK to their max, beat CovCath, and romp Boone? Dixie blows out Campbell County and Beechwood, but yet got romped by CovCath? Right now the most impressive win out of the lot was Dixie beating 1A Beechwood.

The Boone/Lafayette game was much closer than the final score. I am just saying... Henry Clay had their way with Boone, way too much speed on that turf. All kidding aside, Dixie has a fine ball club and Simon has earned some respect over the last several years.

I don't see any better wins for Central Hardin. Meade County's schedule is clearly worse than Simon Kenton's or Dixie's. You can't go by scores alone. It has been said more than once on here that Dixie's opening game loss to Cov Cath was not nearly as lopsided as the score indicates.

Meade battled with #1 Male... not sure I see any NKY team doing that. I see two nice wins for Centrla Hardin. Madisonville (Top 5 4A team) and Bullitt East (Top 7 5A team). Right now with the CovCath free fall the only real impressive non-district win I see out of the lot of the NKY teams is Dixie beating up on Beechwood. Outside of that and Campbell Countyplaying Highlands tough it is mainly just a bunch of teams beating up on one another or bad teams and losing to the Lexington 6A schools.

Congrats to Meade on losing by 3 scores to Male. On any given night ... Both Simon Kenton and Dixe have several wins better than Meade's best win. Madisonville is no better than Beechwood. Bullitt East would be the 3rd or 4th best win on both Simon Kenton and Dixie's schedules. All I am saying is you are not giving these two N. Ky. schools enough credit. I believe both of them would beat Meade County by 2 TD's.
