Congrats to Meade on losing by 3 scores to Male. On any given night ... Both Simon Kenton and Dixe have several wins better than Meade's best win.

 

Madisonville is no better than Beechwood. Bullitt East would be the 3rd or 4th best win on both Simon Kenton and Dixie's schedules.

 

All I am saying is you are not giving these two N. Ky. schools enough credit. I believe both of them would beat Meade County by 2 TD's.

 

Maybe they do, that clearly wasn't the case at the end of last season though and Meade returned most of that team if I recall? Right now I am having a hard time putting either NKY school ahead of Henry Clay or Lafayette...let alone both.

Central Hardin was actually more dominant in their game vs. Collins than Simon Kenton was. I wouldn't say SK destroyed Collins either, at least not as much as CH. Both are great teams and are pretty evenly matched. Simon Kenton throws the ball a bit better than Central but the Bruins have a stronger running game than SK. I think if they met in the playoffs whoever was the home team would win.

I think it's a cumulative effect of their struggles with Ryle and Boone Co combined with Dixie blasting Campbell Co, thus somewhat diminishing that win. Plus people look more at recent wins so they may be giving CH more credit for the Collins win than they give SK since it was a few weeks back. Kind of like what happens in the college football ratings. Early wins, and losses, tend to have less weight as the season goes on.
