Both teams are coming off losses and will be looking to rebound. It has been a long time since Manual last beat the Tigers, is this the year they can do that or will St. X find a way to win another against Manual?

Who wins this critical game in the "Super" district?

I do not believe Coach Lucas has his players convinced they can whip the Tigers. Special teams and turnovers will cost the Crimsons in this tilt.

before the district race took form, this looked to be a defensive struggle. Manual has done well keeping opponent scoring down. I'm not sure what to make of the X defense. Male took control in the first half and never looked back last week. The Crimsons are athletic and play sound D, but can they score?

I think Manual moves the ball enough to pull out the victory 13-10

Like they did last Friday night against Trinity?

Without Nero, X is the better team. They win 17-10.

With Nero, Manual is playing for the whole thing.

Without Nero, Manual is still an awfully good team that matches up well with anyone.

In a close defensive battle, St X appears to be the slight favorite.

It is clear that this will be a defensive battle. I think Manual is do for a win over one of the Catholic powers, they need this game in the worst way. I think they will come back with a strong offensive effort, IF they can score 14, they will win, their defense is playing unbelievable. My pick is Manual.

Manual 24 X 6 (2 FG's). Both DEF fronts are big but Manuals ATH at every position will make a big difference especially on the ST X turf. If I know that old ball Coach Dr. Lucas he has a few tricks up his sleeve he has been saving for district play. Trinity scored on a blocked punt and a turn over in Manuals end to get their two scores and the second score came in the latter part of the game. If Manuals Offense shows up this one could get out of hand much like last weeks Male game if no offense from Manual it will be a nail bitter for sure off ole pop road. My 2 cents.

I feel like I hear this comment often when Manual plays St. X. We'll see if anything is different this year, but I have a hard time seeing Manual beating St. X this year without Nero.

In the end, Manual will become too predictable and the St. X defense will set up their offense with great field position.

X - 20

M - 6
