Always like to get info from those that see and know more about this region.
Swishenator Posted October 11, 2014 Author Posted October 11, 2014 Don't get to see these teams play much. What quibbling would you do? Always like to get info from those that see and know more about this region. I think Tilghman is rated a touch too high and Marshall a touch too low. Calloway is the favorite for sure but if I had to bet they will play Marshall 4 times, including District and Regional finals, this year and they will be tight games. McCracken would be the slight favorite over Tilghman in the 2nd District race also. Just no way you can rate Tilghman above McCracken at this point. McCracken beat them handily twice last year and even though they lost some good players they have enough back to be rated the favorite. I also think Mayfield is slightly underrated here. In my opinion they will win the 3rd District this year over Graves. Graves was decimated by graduation. Finally initially I would probably rate Ballard ahead of Fulton County in the 10 slot. As far as players go I think the top 6 are really solid and I would have a difficult time arguing with that at all. I think Jason Armstrong for McCracken is the most underrated player in the region and should be in that top 10 somewhere. He will be asked to score more this year, he is a load inside, and he may be the best defensive player in the region. Not sure who of the last 4 I would replace though. Probably Hart at this point although that could change. I think Conner Wagner is also slightly underrated here. If he was on a less talented team he would score a lot more. He can play. I would put him 7th. But really these are small things. This was a solid job by Mr. Waters.
Cal hater Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 Can you do the 14th region? Thanks Can you do the 8th
HoopDreamsCoachQ Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 Only two players in the region with a Division 1 offer and one's ranked 3rd and the other didn't crack top ten? Doesn't make too much sense

Doesn't make too much sense Who is the one that didn't crack the top 10? As far as Hunter there is no doubt he has potential. Just has not shown it consistently in Region 1 play. Maybe that was coaching. We'll see this year.
HoopDreamsCoachQ Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 Chris Vogt from Graves. Currently holds 3 D1 offers.
Swishenator Posted October 12, 2014 Author Posted October 12, 2014 Hunter and Vogt would be the top 2 if the list said Top 10 college prospects although J.J. Reed from Tilghman would have something to say about that too. But current Top 10 players has it about right I think. Vogt had a long way to go based on what I saw last year, especially offensively.
Heat Check Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 Reed hands down the best college prospect in the 1st region. can you post the 3rd, 4th, 5th
truecardinalfan Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 Not sure about Mayfield being #8. they beat Carlisle this summer and I'm pretty sure will handle Graves this year....Graves that high based on past success...not sure that hold true this year. I see Mayfield solid 7 or Maybe even 6 and Bacon better than a couple above him on this list.

Doesn't make too much sense I agree and I will also say that I think there is a college where everyone in this top 10 could play ball...some reason many just don't look this far West for basketball players.
