Congrats to the Eagles and Coach Starnes. What a first year for Coach Starnes, just hope his tenure at JC doesnt turn out like Tubby's has at UK in terms of fan support. Good Luck at Rupp Eagles and make us proud. Good luck to SV, they are a great team with great fan support, to the kid that called the timeout keep your head up, some of the greatest players in that situation would have done the same thing.

Final seconds, SV has the basketball with a chance to tie or win with a 3 pointer. Ball is inbounded to Jacob Bryant, who slid at the top of the key to a knee, kept his dribble until hands from the Johnson Central defense reached in and Bryant called a timeout that he didn't have.

 

The official gave him the timeout. The other two officials immediately took notice that SV didn't have anymore timeouts to take. Technical foul shots were taken by Whitaker, who knocked down 1 of 2. Johnson Central got the ball back and that was basically it.

It's going to be interesting to see how this team reacts to shooting in Rupp after a week at the Expo Center.

I think Central was only up by 1 point. A two point basket would have put Shelby Valley in the lead.

SV lost all that talent from last year but almost won again..Imagine how good they'd be with the players that have quit such as Mikie Bartley and Kyle Goodson...Could have been a stacked team..

So much respect for coach Starns unquestionably had alot to do with the Blue Swarm defence in the championship run in 03. It was hard to see him leave but im extremely happy for him. JC and mason on Saturday???
