October 6, 201411 yr Author This whole story makes me dislike cheerleading more and more. Why? The actions of a few here disappoint me but it certainly doesn't make me dislike cheerleading.
October 6, 201411 yr I don't dislike cheerleading but I see ZERO value add to the gameday experience. I could do without. I certainly see it as an extra curricular activity and not a career. They shouldn't see anymore than min wage.

October 6, 201411 yr Why? The actions of a few here disappoint me but it certainly doesn't make me dislike cheerleading. Not a fan of NFL cheerleaders; just don't see the point having them. I understand high school and I can accept college but I have no idea why the NFL has them. Huge stadium so they are hard to see, the crowd is already fired up (probably from drinking since 9am) and they really don't do much cheering. As far as this story relates - cheerleaders know what they are getting and what they aren't getting for their performance each week. Sour grapes to go back now and demand pay when they accepted the terms upon signing up. I can't support this.
October 6, 201411 yr We are probably not that far off. Do I agree the Owners are greedy, you bet. Do I agree the Cheerleaders deserve to be paid more, you bet. Do I think knowing the rules going in but then pursing legal action after the fact is a joke, you bet. Do I see a legal argument for the cheerleaders winning the suit, you bet. Do I think the NFL should either pay the cheerleaders more or do away with them, you bet. Yep...not far off...
