Yea, I have a thought... How about getting some of your own chants? You guys got a lot of the things you did from Cov Cath (ex: WE ARE AWESOME chant, the Roller Coaster at halftime) no offense, but if you are going to ask about your cheering section, make sure you guys have some of your OWN cheers next time...

Haha last year the same thing happened with holmes...in the district championship against covcath they all turned around reading newspapers while covcath was being announced and then in the region boone, dixie and conner all three tried to be like them...holmes chant of "your priest loves you" against covcath had to be one of the most original though...not sure if thats inappropriate or not but i found it clever and a little funny

The thing I have noticed about the NCC student section is that they are doing the same cheers this year as CCH was doing last year. BTW, the roller coaster is a St. X cheer and was taken to NKY through a CCH guy, but it's what NCC does.

Ok it wasn't a rollercoaster. It's called nascar. And the kid who made it up had never seen the rollercoaster done before by cchs. Everyone is driving hence the people holding onto the person in front like a steering wheel. They turned the car on, revved the engine, fixed their rear view mirror, hit a pot hole, and got a flat tire. It was unintentional and unknown that this looked like rollercoaster from cchs. Also the we are awesome cheer is almost like d-fense. It's generic and ncc decided they were awesome too so they should cheer it. So besides this cheer how did they get a lot of things from Cov Cath? And 90% of the stuff they do is original. For a small 1A school they put on a heck of a show even if they don't have the numbers of the 3A CovCath.

And Btw I had a hard time finding Waldo last night. Did you guys have any better luck? Maybe you can look for him tonight.

What is NCC's enrollment. Remember that they allow girls in their section unlike CovCath, so the "small school" argument may not work here.

From the Diocese of Covington Web Pages:

CovCath Enrollment: 458

NewCath Enrollment: 465

Well I be darn, the total enrollment of NCC is larger than CovCath. You know, you would have never have know that by looking at the student cheering sections......Maybe NCCBreds is forgetting that CovCath doesn't let the NDA (Enrollment: 603) girls cheer with them.......NCCBREDS?

Well it sure looked like the roller coaster so I guess I should apologize for assuming... no, and I have NEVER heard anyone else chant WE ARE AWESOME besides CCH, maybe you have, but I sure haven't... and apparently none of the Dixie students have either, hence the "You're not Cov Cath" chant right back at them..

Dixie's cheering section was pathetic ....(something about a frog?)

Your cheering section was pathetic last night, in the finals no less. Our whole side was filled with Cov Cath and half of your side was Cov Cath. Now that is pathetic. Only good thing at your place is you have a Cov Cath alum running your basketball program and a Cov Cath alum as a principal.

I graduated from NC in 65 and " We are awesome " was one of our cheers then . So it is nothing new or original .

THose numbers are flawed, Cov Cath has 458 guys, Newcath has females included in that number.

That is the point. The small school argument can't be applied because the numbers are the same. If CCH allowed NDA into their section, then NCCBReds would have a valid point. But they don't.

The question centers around student cheering sections, and not sports teams. NCC total student enrollment is larger than CovCath, so why wasn't the cheering section both on Friday night or on Saturday as large or larger than CovCath? I personally was surprised by the poor showing of the NCC students, not in spirit, but in numbers. All I saw were boy's in the student cheering sections, what up with your girls? If the NDA girls were allowed to sit with the CovCath boys I can guarantee you, that the student cheering section of CovCath would more than double. I also will guarantee you, that there will be more NDA girls at Rupp, than come to NDA for School on Thursday....Something called The Blue Flu, I heard is predicted to hit the Pandas student body hard......casuing better than 75% of the young ladies to go to Rupp Arena, to root on the young

men of CovCath for going to Rupp is the only know cure for this type of Flu......and come the following week when the Pandas hopefully go to Dibble, then I have heard of different strain of Flu but just as devastating call Blue and Gold Flu that will hit the young men of CovCath jsut as hard causing most to call off sick and head to Bowling Green to cheer on the Pandas, as it is the only known cure for that strain of flu as well..... Funny how those strains of Flu hit at the most convenient times......:D

Why mostly boys in the ncc student cheering section? prob the same reason why i saw hardly any high school females on cov caths side(not talking about them sitting in the cheer section) at all cheering on their neighbors.

The reason why girls don't sit in the cheering section is because they don't attend the school. And it is strictly forbidden.

Okay guys....enough of mine's bigger than yours. Both schools showed great spirit...The Breds showed some great creativity and healthy sportsmanship in a situation where they weren't given a lot to get excited about. The fake tv camera, and the "we want a cup cake" in response to "we want some competition" was very good.
