I am curious - does Owensboro have many players going both ways (like Phillips)? How about Warren Central? Do they??

No. The closest we have to a means of comparison through Madisonville is that Madisonville beat Greenwood 13-9 to open the year, who Central just beat 39-21. I have my doubts that would be an accurate comparison at all.

Thanks DF, I figured this fan was full of it.

At full strength not many at all. Phillips played some safety and RB, Barrett plays some safety (probably moreso at Central now with Phillips out). The offensive line mainly plays offense. I saw Greer check in at DT late in the Bowling Green game, but by in large the D-line is compeltely different than the O-line. QB never plays Defense, I've rarely seen James (RB) play Defense, although Linsday (the backup FB) plays some LB.The other LB's are Gardner, Mundy, Board, Crowe and they don't play much offense at all. Collier plays WR, not much D that I see. Walker and Beck in secondary.

Really Barrett and Phillips are the only 2 I saw playing alot both ways.

Will you be making the trek down from the Boro?

Most likely - any good places to eat? Isn't WC right off Exit 7 of the Natcher? I've never been to a game there.

I think it's been changed to Exit 9 now since the Parkway has been extended all the way to Scottsville Road, but I'm not 100% sure on that.

As far as eating, there's not much around that end of town besides fast food. You'd be better off looking on Nashville Road/31-W for better eating. I believe that's now Exit 6.

The area around the mall has most of the typical causal dining chain restaurants. Of those I prefer Rafferty's Although I have not been there in awhile Mariah's was always really good. They recently moved to a building across from the baseball stadium in the downtown area. I have not been to the new location. They also have a fast casual version of the restaurant called the Buckhead Cafe which is near Campbell Lane and Nashville Rd. I stop and eat there quite a bit when I am in town for lunch. I'd recommend the chicken fingers and killer chips. There is also a Mellow Mushroom in the downtown area if you prefer pizza. I would say that the Montana Grill is pretty good as well but apparently it caught on fire earlier today.

The only restaurants that I can think of that are near WC campus is Taco Bell, Arby's, Jimmy John's, McDonalds, maybe a few more of that type.
