Teddy Bridgewater Is Now The Vikings' Starting QB

Featured Replies

Vikings get a capable QB and he's immediately hurt.

And we know whose fault that is...

Loki.

Still messing with Vikings all these centuries later. This team is permanently doomed.

I know he's not played much, but I think Minnesota's a different team when Teddy is taking the snaps. I'm glad his injury is only a sprain, the season will be much longer for them without him.

Disagree. Bortles was equally ready by all accounts. And without AP Minnesota is still 8th in the league in rushing at 135/game.

To an extent. Bortles is WAY ahead of schedule. The main reason they wanted to sit him this year was to try and perfect all his mechanics. Still has a lot of room to grow but I think instead of watching Chad Henne throw a football, if that's what we call it, they just threw him in there. I can honestly say I am so happy that I was wrong on him. 2 years down the road we will see another Manning vs Brady rivalry with Luck vs Bortles.

Getslow what does the Minnesota OL look like? Is it solid? I know that is one reason I was so terrified of Bortles playing early. Just curious how much of an issue it is in Minnesota.

I read that probably if this game was on Sunday he would have played.

Let's pump the brakes a little...

That was a concern coming out of college. He is a smaller framed guy that tends to get banged up from time-to-time. 1 game in and already missing the next validates those concerns.

Bridgewater has played through the injury he has now on more than one occasion. He wasn't the reason he didn't play last night. Guaranteed.

What? I am not questioning his toughness. He has plenty of it. But it still does not negate the fact he has been banged up before and 3/4 of 1 game in to his career he has to be pulled from the game because he is banged up already. That is the reality of it.

As a Vikings fan, it was my biggest concern. The guy can play, but he's got a small frame and is susceptible to injuries in certain places because of it. That's the way it goes.

It's not great.
