Won't be able to get to a HHS game

Oldtime the details are useless. Half truths and discruntled parents. So this is the 3rd player that quit and she was a good player. Why she quit?, not sure but I have some ideas. In the end though it is her decision and hope it wasn't a mistake. Think she already picked a college so she has that going for her. As for why the other 2 girls quit, I will let you come to your own conclusions on that.

In that case......the other two girls quit because they were upset that the boys team beat Covcath . They knew that CCH was the better team and got so fed up with the whole game of soccer over this outcome that they just can't bring themselves to play the game anymore.

 

I am truly impressed by their integrity.......

Careful Kings- You are welcome to private message me as well. Are you suggesting that the other two were not good players? One went to an elite high school aged Ohio Elite club team for players that decide not to play high school and the other happens to be on a Kings Academy team. If only you knew half as much as you thought you knew. You have previously stated your relationship and obvious interest in all of this and most know about your club affiliation. I will tell you that the reason for the departures has more to do with the whole TRUTH, than it does anything else. I doubt very seriously that any of us want that posted here. My suggestion is that you tread lightly and speak only about what you KNOW. There is more truth out there about all of this than fiction. You continue to believe what you want. The facts are the facts and it has impacted this HHS team. There have been some very good players decide that they are better off not playing for their high school team. Including some that did not come out at all. That is a fact. THAT is sad! It has very little, if anything, to do with disgruntled parents. The parents that I know, of girls that have decided not to play for this team, would never make, or encourage, their child to quit a team. In fact they would encourage the exact opposite. It is unfortunate.

Why don't you state what you KNOW? Why do you guys come on here and say things like players quit and players didn't come out for the team and then leave it up to us to guess as to why. Tell us the FACTS or don't state it at all. Makes no sense...

 

I believe parents are involved. They always are. Maybe they don't "encourage" the player to quit, but the constant complaining about the coach or about their kid's (lack of) playing time, talking on the phone about it, texting about it, talking to their spouse/partner about it. It leads kids to make the decision to just quit. It makes the kid miserable. Sure, blame the coach. I mean he interacts with their daughter about 10 hours a week. The parents have them all other hours outside of school. But obviously those ten hours the coach has is completely altering little Suzy's existence. NO. ITS. NOT. The parents are. Because those ten hours get turned into 24 hours with the insanity of the obsessive parents who can't just let it go.

 

All of you parents need to do a check of your conscience and see how YOU have negatively impacted this season. It's easy to point fingers but you need to start with the person in the mirror.

 

Unless this coach has done something illegal or against his contract please give it up. He's just a guy who wanted to coach soccer. It's basically a voluntary position. HHS wasn't going to "win state" anyway, hell can you even win region? (I honestly know nothing about HHS except about their football and volleyball teams). My point is, at the end of the day this is high school athletics and shouldn't be all this drama. Take a step back, let your girl have HER season and stay out of it. Honestly, if she could say this to you herself, she would. Quit talking about it, texting about it, emailing about it, going to secret meetings about it and be a positive leader in the stands. Your daughter will thank you for it when she's older.

When seniors and a junior quit, it is always a loss. It saddens me that the one senior didn't even come to try out. I love soccer and I have never felt this way about a season, but I just can't wait for it to be over. How do you keep supporting something that is obviously falling apart? How do you keep sending your daughter back when things seem to be getting worse and not better?

Let's get facts straight. One senior has quit the team. I know the reasons and will not post on here. Two juniors have quit. The best junior and player in the program chose not to come back. That is 3 kids so far, which is 3 more than over the last how many years. It should be pretty obvious that there is something going on that needs to be addressed by the administration. Those that think playing time is the issue are totally clueless and i will leave it at that. Many would like to think this is a parent issue, right wxyz, but it goes beyond that. The kids that have quit the team made the decision on their own. I am with whitney on this one and cannot wait for the season to end. What should have been a very successful season based on last years results and the group of players returning has turned into a cannot wait until club season starts.

Wow. Just wow. I feel sorry for the kids that are stuck with this mess at HHS. The parents on the sidelines need to cool their jets, let the coaches do their jobs, and let the girls enjoy their high school season. I'm betting none of this would be happening if just a few HHS parents would keep their bias to themselves and just let the kids play.

Seems like you are in the know about the goings on at hhs. Why don't you tell us what is up since you seem to be calling out keyplayer and others.

That is laughable. I don't remember calling out Keyplayer or anyone else in this thread. I am no longer being baited into this non-sense but good try though. If anyone wants to talk HHS Girls Soccer then talk to me about it at the games. Unless it's positive, I am not talking about it on this site.

That is a big problem in itself. Why would parents let their daughters quit when times get tough? As parents we teach our kids to be strong and never give up. To not quit on your responsibilities even when things are falling apart. Do you quit your job when things are going bad? Do you quit college if you fail a class? Unless something very dangerous is taking place, how can kids "quit on their own?" Where are the parents to say "No, you are not quitting! I don't care how rough things are getting, you made a commitment and you will be a responsible person."

 

If a kid refuses to try out, then that is there decision because they decided not to pursue the responsibility in the first place. But for parents to just let their children decide to quit on their own is irresponsible in my opinion.

Just an outsider observation, and from watching just one game. The fans and parents seem a bit obsessive. Almost every other thread here is about HHS. Maybe they should realize it is just a game. It is there for the purpose of fun and comoderie of the girls. Bad games happen. Bad seasons happen. Bad teams ard made, and usually by infighting and bickering. My own daughter wants to leave her highly successful club team for these same reasons.

I've noticed a lot of blame for the poor season being hurled at the new coaches, on the many HHS threads. If memory serves, the past few years have been as bad or worse record wise. Not since the 2010 season, have they been one of the top area teams. So, why blame the new guy(s)?
