Were the police at the school as some online are saying?

My understanding is one student was arrested by the police.

I think more then one was searched and questioned, but I was told only one was arrested and removed from the team. This is all from people who were not there, so take it for what its' worth.

With all due respect young Ram, what kids do day by day, game by game is what makes your history. Raceland can't spout about our storied history and fail to acknowledge when bad decisions mar that history. It's easy to cast stones at the neighbors like Greenup when they have an issue, but it is difficult to admit when there's a problem in house. Raceland isn't without it's scars. Rap tapes and the like are all included in one's history. Kudos to the staff and admin for addressing the situation swiftly. I hope it's an abberation, not the norm.

I agree with you. But at Raceland, we tolerate nothing. The rap tapes were assessed at the time as well. Salmons took care of the problems yesterday. All said and done, we all accept the fact the player screwed up. But when you make a bad decision like that, at Raceland, the players turn from you and they move on. One of the things that I have always been proud of at Raceland is the players let nothing distract them from their goal. Always been very proud of that. Instead, the team turns that into a "fire" and they feed off of it. But yes, it is hard to take it in when it happens to your own house, but faces come and go every year. The tradition continues.

And I certainly understand your point. These things left unchecked slowly become your culture. Thankfully, football at Raceland means enough to the school, the students, and the community, that when appropriate action is taken to curb bad behavior it prevents it from becoming the culture. Now, with that said, I hope that when it happens to the neighbors that we don't hear chirping out of our own.

I'd be willing to bet 99% of the schools in the state has at least 1 kid on their team experimenting with something... As far as saying that is the culture at Greenup, how do you know? Let's not condemn a whole team for the actions of a few. As bad as drugs are in this area is there any wonder that these things are happening. It's sad.

I was accusing anyone of it happening currently. I was merely staying that Fairview, with there past, is now known for what they did. I'm not trying to call them out or anything, nor Greenup. At all. I was using them as an example.
