September 15, 201412 yr Most of the league is sitting at 1-1 and we still have a couple of games pending an outcome, but let's hear thoughts.
September 15, 201412 yr I thought my Jags would make strides. They are far far far from it right now. Giving up 10 sacks? Geeesh. Gonna be a long season, til Bortles comes in.
September 15, 201412 yr I thought my Jags would make strides. They are far far far from it right now. Giving up 10 sacks? Geeesh. Gonna be a long season, til Bortles comes in. Why get Bortles killed before the line can protect him? Keep him sitting until they can protect him a little bit. I believe they planned on maybe having him sit a year and that might be best. It looks like this team is going nowhere unless they can drastically turn things around.
September 15, 201412 yr Best 2-0: Bengals, Cardinals, Broncos. Worst 2-0: Bills, Texans... Just don't see them being able to keep it up. Best 0-2: Saints.
September 15, 201412 yr It is way too early to really know for sure, as everyone already knows. But the Bengals and Cardinals look the best after two games. Injuries are mounting up and I don't think Stanton can win with the Cardinals over the long haul The Giants are in the top 3 worst teams right now and that was a good game for Stanton to play. The Bengals will struggle over the long haul without Green, also. Teams will now key on Bernard big time. The Saints are very average on the road. They will win 7-8 at home, though.
September 15, 201412 yr Call me a homer but the Bengals have looked far and away the best so far this season.
September 16, 201412 yr There's a pretty good chance that the Colts will be 0-2 at the end of today. They are a good football team. Other than the Saints, the rest of the 0-2 teams are awful. Broncos, Bengals, and Panthers are all playing pretty good on both sides of the ball.
September 16, 201412 yr Author I'm intrigued by the Panthers. Haven't gotten to see them yet. How do they play and what do they rely on to get it done?
September 16, 201412 yr Author Maybe it's just me, but I'm not 100% sold on the Broncos. I still have questions about Indianapolis and Kansas City (to say questions about KC is putting it mildly). I think they'll be a playoff team, but seeing them early on they looked good in the first half, but have let Indy and now KC come back on them pretty hard.
September 16, 201412 yr Cardinals and Bengals have impressed me the most of the 2-0 teams. Worst 2-0 team has to be the Texans. Best 0-2 team IMO is the Saints.
September 16, 201412 yr Author What does everyone think of Buffalo? They are another team that I haven't seen, but I could definitely see these first 2 games being a flash in the pan. They started off well last season, but given how young they are and the injury history of Spiller, Jackson, and Manuel, I'm still going to be a little skeptical of them, at least for awhile. They were getting a lot of love on ESPN earlier this morning, but like D-Rob, I just don't see them being able to keep it up. As far as D-Rob's other 0-2 team, I'm a Texans fan, so maybe I'm just being a homer, but while I don't think they are one of the very best teams in the league, I think they could make a push for the wildcard and could win some games. Once Clowney gets back, I think their defense is going to give some teams headaches. Fitzpatrick isn't great, but just not making mistakes, handing off to Foster, Blue, and Grimes, then throwing to Andre Johnson and Deandre Hopkins will count for something in at least half of their games. The Texans are one of those teams that I see beating most everyone they're expected to beat, but not being good enough to beat the best of the best unless it's the occasional upset that everyone gets.
September 16, 201412 yr Call me a homer but the Bengals have looked far and away the best so far this season. I agree. I have a really good feeling about them this year. Like, why not us? They have a history of looking really bad in a game after having a stretch of great games, so we will see
September 16, 201412 yr Author Living in the Midwest makes it hard to keep up with ya'll. I've not had the opportunity to see the majority of these teams play. How do the Bengals look and what's different about them this year given the new coordinators?
September 16, 201412 yr Living in the Midwest makes it hard to keep up with ya'll. I've not had the opportunity to see the majority of these teams play. How do the Bengals look and what's different about them this year given the new coordinators? I feel they've looked outstanding. Defensively not a whole lot different. Just flat out all over the place, and incredibly physical. Offensively, they've changed a ton IMO. Dalton isn't being asked to win them the games. Hasn't forced a throw all season. Hasn't been sacked, the line has been tremendous. Think I heard a stat that they're the first team in 40+ years to not throw an INT (or maybe it was not have a TO) or allow a sack in their 1st two games. They're running it more than under Gruden. Gio Bernard and Jeremy Hill look to be a dynamic duo in the backfield.
September 16, 201412 yr Cardinals and Bengals have impressed me the most of the 2-0 teams. Worst 2-0 team has to be the Texans. Best 0-2 team IMO is the Saints. The cards wouldn't have won against most teams last Sunday. The Giants blew it in the 4th like only the giants can do. 5 dropped passes, punt returned for a TD, fumbled the ball without even being tackled...the list goes on. At least Eli played good I guess.
