Is it time New Cath and Beechwood stopped scheduling the 6A schools?

You're missing the point. We are not talking about how good the players are, we are talking about roster size. It has been said more times then I can count that a large school has more players to choose from, I contend that most times that is not the case. Many schools with 400 boys have a roster of 60 players and a school with 200 boys has a roster of 60 players. Where is the advantage for the larger school? There isn't one, they are getting the same number of players from their 400 boys that other schools are getting with 200 boys.

Since no one cuts you realize that even if a school of 200 can get 60 and a school of 400 gets 60 that does not mean they are an equal 60. The small school may get 60 because of a winning program in the past and play 30 legit players because the other 30 are young or just not good but want to be part of a team and maybe contribute the next year or the year after. And the large school may get 60 and play 45 because they have 45 legit players.

And it only magnifies when the small school has a roster of 40 and can only play 20 and the large school has 80 and plays 60 as is the case most of the time. The small school will be fine when they play other small schools and maybe occasionally can be competitive or even win against a large school...... but normally the legit large school program doesn't gain a whole lot playing the small school other than getting game experience for a lot of players.
