Since you have drug me into this thread, why are you so snippy about Raceland? Yes, I am the team doctor at Raceland and I graduated from GC in 1986. So what. I guess your true colors are coming out...... Raceland fans have always been positive towards Ashland but I am seeing a cocky attitude from you that gives Ashland a bad name. I always have tried to be a positive and complimentary poster but your little snide comments about where I reside and the school I am affiliated with ticks me off. How is that for bashing?!

I didn't realize it was our job to try and improve Ashland football. In case you haven't figured it out yet (and I'd say there's a good chance since you didnt know sidelinedoc and Spindoc are separate posters) this is a discussion board. That's what makes this board tick. I'm asked a question about what I think is wrong with Ashland, and I post my thoughts. If my responses are too hard for you to handle I suggest you don't read Ashland threads.

You really don't get it do you? Where have I said I wanted Coach Love fired? We talk about football games in these threads. If Ashland failed to score a TD because they ran out of time on the 1 yard line then I'm going to mention that. If I feel Ashland lost a game because they had 2 failed two point conversions instead of kicking the XP I'm going to mention that. I'm not going to get on here, and say Russell won the game because they wanted it more. I'm going to offer up my honest opinion. If that causes you undue stress, and gets your panties in a wad, then so be it.

Why are you bashing this team, and their AD, or coach, whichever one makes out the schedule? If you want them to schedule better teams this really isn't the way to go about it.

 

 

The schedule is weak as water. They have a good chance to run the table. That doesn't mean that they are actually a top team in 3A.

Here is what it all boils down to...people always have been and always will be passionate about Ashland football. The reason people are starting to question the coaching, is because the coaching has been questionable. When you have a head coach in only his 2nd year and you lose games you shouldn't because of some obvious coaching blunders people will talk. Does Coach Love know football? Without a doubt! Is he a good coach? Yes. Is he cut out to be a head coach? That is a question that is still unanswered. This team and their coaches certainly have my support, but I expect to see week-to-week improvement and certainly don't.

 

Winning is a cure-all and Ashland is honestly extremely close to being undefeated and this thread doesn't even exist. I really hope to see and different offensive look from the Tomcats this week. If Long is back that will certainly help, and I think if he played against Russell, Ashland would have won. I will always support our team, while being realistic about the players and coaches.

 

One thought I have had recently is, how much better of a quarterback would Hunter Prince be if Leon Hart was still around? I think he would be muuuuuuuuuch better.

So is there a good way going about the firing of a coach? And for you to say that you aren't a fan of Ashland, that's hard to believe considering you're defending them awfully hard. Some coaches and players read these threads. It's called constructive criticism. And however you take it, is your call and if you take it the wrong way, then that's your fault. Sorry bud. We like football.
