I cannot see how you can say that he is a great role model for all the students at Scott. Maybe in the classroom, or in other circles, but not really seeing how this can be true with all of the soccer issues that are popping up.

How can you blame the coach for some of the issues that have happened in the past two years at Scott. That's one of the most riduculous thing I've heard on this site. Last year 7 red cars were accumulated between 3 players, he didn't have any control over that he didn't teach them that, it was his first year with a new team. You don't take a dog that's already trained and try to retrain it. And for last night letting Treadway score 7 goals, what about 3 years ago when Casey Sibert let Luke score 7 goals in a game? He encouraged it, I don't remember anyone having any issues with it back then. As for the Boone county game that was ridiculous. Scott took much criticism for what BOONE did. What about them? They had 4 red cards? Are we to blame their coach? How about we all pick on the Boone county coach? Maybe we should just start bashing thier school, and their program. Maybe Scott's coach is taking a little bit more criticism because just he's different.

Careful. You're starting to sound a lot like ScottEagle.

If that is the best response you can come up with then we ought to just let this go. All the talk about the coach being a good role model for the players and not knowing enough about the game. If you can't come up with a logical argument back then we ought to just drop it.

Everyone needs to quit being so PC here. We can see you got your feelings hurt by Treadway scoring a lot, get over it. Players are aloud to score goals and they are aloud to score as many as they want. Was he running over to the Calvary players and fans and rubbing their faces in it? If not so what?

To the Scott people, we get it that you feel a little embarrassed and are probably looking for a reason for the Boone game to deflect some of what happened. Its high school boys, they are unpredictable. That same team minus two people played incredibly clean and respectable against Campbell. Any given night things can happen.

Let it go people. You aren't the morality police.

High school boys can be very predictable when they aren't in the game, or managed appropriately.

I would say mr T did his job.......if in the game, his job is to score goals for his team. He does that very well.......absolutely no fault there......a player that plays half speed is more likely to be hurt and develops bad habits.

This falls on the coach.

Sef......bringing up then"difference " of the coach" is wrong......the only, person that brought it up was a perceived Scott supporter in post #43.......... I haven't read anything other than that.........

I put my comments in bold, italics, to make sure I addressed the correct comments...

How can you blame the coach for some of the issues that have happened in the past two years at Scott. Who else would you blame SEF1? That's one of the most riduculous thing I've heard on this site. Last year 7 red cars were accumulated between 3 players, he didn't have any control over that he didn't teach them that, IMO, he is not teaching them that there are consequences to getting the cards... point in case... allowing player to play in JV Regional after getting a Red in a Varsity match just 2 days earlier.it was his first year with a new team. Has he made any changes in his 1+ years on the job, maybe he has... or maybe he has a 3-5 year plan for this. You don't take a dog that's already trained and try to retrain it.So, are you saying that you just let them continue to behave the same way? And for last night letting Treadway score 7 goals, what about 3 years ago when Casey Sibert let Luke score 7 goals in a game?I would have the same issue that I have now, if that is what happened He encouraged it, I don't remember anyone having any issues with it back then. As for the Boone county game that was ridiculous. Yes, it was ridiculous!!!Scott took much criticism for what BOONE did. What about them? I have yet to see anyone that has spoken less harshly about Boone's behavior that night. They had 4 red cards? Are we to blame their coach? How about we all pick on the Boone county coach? Maybe we should just start bashing thier school, and their program. Maybe Scott's coach is taking a little bit more criticism because just he's different.

I am still amazed at how so many people are failing to grasp the possibility of there being an issue with what is going on at Scott.

I agree. I don't want to get back into this discussion, but at some point the school has to step in if the coach isn't doing anything or what he is doing is not working. "Back in the day" before the 2 game suspension there were some upperclassmen who were hot heads on my team. The coach made sure to address any issue that was unacceptable, but the school stepped in to make sure that point was heard. They would add an extra 1-2 game suspension on top of what the State gave you. It gets your attention quick when it's your last year and you saw a change in the upperclassmen.

I would think that there have been some "discussions" at the school... but who knows. Based on the comments I have seen, it appears that he has the support of several, maybe this is still the minority though.

It just kills me to read about people needing to cut him some slack because he is new, hasn't coached HS soccer, not from here, still trying to figure things out, etc... But in other comments, they are quite happy with what he has done there and what he will do in the future... I just don't think you can have it both ways.

I completely agree. Year one... I get it. Year two... unacceptable. You did not see the amount of cards in prior years with Casey and he was around for a lot of the Juniors/Seniors today. Sure... you see the positive comments. Hard to be negative when you're winning.

So Latin....made up of could be 7,8,9,10 graders at other schools.....just tied Calvary 3 to 3.

Does this make the 7 scored by T against Calvary seem even worse? Does it change your thinking at all?

Nope. Play the game take the risks and score the goals. Get over it people.

Would the club coach have kept him in if he was playing a game against a rec team two years younger?

Is that the sound of someone beating a dead horse?
