Henderson has all five starters back that finished the season and post season. They have all kinds of out side shooters and drivers. Their question will be the post. They have a 6'8 kid that had a pretty good summer. David Simmons will be right their for player of the year in the 2nd region. David has a awesome highlight film on you tube. Dj Washington is a very fast point guard who began to score at the end of the year. If he can score and pass he makes the offense that much better. Then they have Smith, Crowley, and Norman who all can shot the three ball and drive. So with that said post play will be the question?? They have a very tough schedule so look for 20 wins and in the hunt for the sweet sixteen.

I couldn't agree more. Wasn't he at the Republic Bank last season? I got to see him at the KY Jr. All Star tryouts and was very very impressed with his athleticism.

Yep. I saw them at Montgomery County early in the year & then later at the Republic Bank. They were in the consolation bracket & played, I believe, Henry Clay. I want to say they won in OT but I can't remember for sure.

Same old story for Henderson. They usually have the athletes and talent but have to get by the Hopkinsville schools to get out of the second and that task is very rare.

Numbers don't always tell the truth. They have a little over 2,000 but that doesn't always mean much. Ask the football team they only have 48 kids on football roster.

What are some of the reasons behind low numbers for athletic participation?

I saw Simmons play a couple of times last high school season and a couple of times this summer in AAU. He is the real deal. High energy, very athletic, great skills and plays super hard at both ends. Kid can play.
