Yes, I would be shocked. By default they become good by virtue of being in the AFC East.

Good, but I'm talking Vegas has them at 10.5 wins and the over is almost to the point that you'd have to risk $2 to get a $1 payout. That's pretty heavy juice on their side in terms of the number of games, but I'm not really convinced that the Patriots are that much of a lock to win 11 games.

I think they are capable of beating everyone in their division and I'd be kind of surprised if anyone in the division swept them, but I'm not sure that I like them to win at least 11 games under those circumstances.

I guess "bad" wasn't the best choices of words. While I wouldn't be shocked if they were "bad" to the tune of being a little below .500, I'm not going to be shocked if they don't win 10 or 11 games.

5 teams will be bad IMO

Browns

Bills

Raiders

Texans

Cowboys

I think this is a very solid line up. Then I would say 4/5 of those teams will be there. With the exception of 1 of them pulling a chiefs and doing great.

If the texans get any type of QB play and Foster stays healthy, they might be good. 2 big if's. I just don't see the Cowboys, they may be one of the worse defenses ever. They will score, but not enough.

We can only hope.

It will be interesting to see who is the worst of the Dallas-NYG-Washington trio.

Dallas. Then Washington.

The gmen will be awesome, of course.

The big thing I'm worried about with the Giants is their offensive line. They're big OL signing Geoff Schwartz, Is already injured so we will see. The new offense will be better than it was in pre season and I'm excited for Odell Beckham to play. Also love Rashad Jennings and Andre Williams.

On defense I'm excited for Dominique Rodgers Cromartie. He was fantastic uhh pre season. Also excited to see Walter Thurmond III at corner and Jon Beason at mlb. He had 98 tackles and was an awesome leader for the Giants lat year in only 11 games.

I'm all honesty it wouldn't surprise me if the Giants struggle though. New offense, possibly weak o line...Not sure about the d line either.

Then again, they won two super bowls when no one expected then to...so there's that.

Eagles will clinch the division by game 13. The Giants have one of the worse Offensiv elines in the NFL. Can;t win with that.

I'm HUGE on Odell Beckham Jr., it's to the point that in fantasy leagues, I've generally avoided any Giants because I think the receivers are going to have balls split between Cruz, Randle, Beckham, and company. Love the big, physical SEC type receivers taking red zone targets once they're in the pros. I also think that fantasy wise, Eli could have a better than expected year. My biggest ? with the Giants is injuries and O-Line. If they stay healthy and don't have many breakdowns on the offensive line, they'll be good.

Offensive Comment:

From camp reports, how is Andre Willlams doing in pass protection? He's supposed more skilled than Jennings, but is still a raw rookie. That's the major thing I'd look into with them.

Defensive comment:

Rodgers-Cromatie could shore up the secondary, which was hurt by injuries last season. If he and former first rounder Prince Amukamara (who is entering his third healthy and fourth overall season in the league) can lock down things on the outside, then they'll be much improved because last year's defense was #23 against the pass.

Schedule:

Brutal division and a tough road with the NFC West in cross division play on one side. Cross division play on the other side, the AFC South is much more favorable (or at least it appears like that right now).

How can you honestly know how good or bad the Giants offensive line will be? They have 3 new starters. They weren't awful running the ball in the pre season.

The Giants started 0-6 last year and were still in the race for the division for a while. Philly isn't a team without questions.

Odell still isnt practicing so that is disappointing.

Andre Williams has been ok as far as I know at pass protection. He's been very slid running the ball but Jennings has to.

DRC teamed up with Prince and Thurmond should be fun to watch with Rolle and Stevie Brown.

I don't it's a prediction. But starting starting three rookies usually means there will be growing pains.

Looked more like a statement than a prediction. And three new starters doesn't mean 3 rookies. Only one rookie is starting.
