Any thoughts on who should or shouldn't be on this list?

I'll say that I think the Browns will be bad, but I think that's to be expected.

 

I don't think the Jaguars will be awful this season though, so I'll leave them off of this one.

You are an AFCS follower I think you know how it is down there. Things are turning in Jacksonville. Only the people who have paid a bit of attention know things are changing down there, 99% of the rest of the world sees what ESPN puts out there. "Moving to London, Tim Tebow should be the QB, blah blah blah."

 

While the Jags are still rebuilding I think they will make some sort of strides this year. A much improved D with some offensive weapons coming in. Next year will be the year to make a playoff run when Bortles is at the helm. Seems like ages ago I was flipping out over the Bortles pick and now I couldnt be happier to be wrong on him.

It will be interesting to see who is the worst of the Dallas-NYG-Washington trio.

^ If RG3 is healthy all year I think they can push to be .500 team.

Agreed. I don't think that this is their year, but they actually progressed nicely last season against a BRUTAL schedule (mentioned that they'd played the NFC West and AFC West as their cross-division opponents last season in the Texans thread).

 

I think they're a few years away from really competing, but I think they've turned the attitude around down there under their new management. Guys like MJD and Justin Blackmon who were talented but had some off-field baggage are no longer there and they don't really have a ton of "sexy" names, but I could see them being a solid, respectable team who won't beat themselves in most games. There'll be plenty where they just get out-talented, but I think they'll have a few where they open some eyes.

I don't expect much out of Pittsburgh this year... Hopefully I'm wrong.

As for the Jags, they weren't really that bad toward the end of the season.

 

Their cross-divisional opponents were the NFC West and AFC West, meaning they got Seattle, San Francisco, Arizona, Denver, Kansas City, and San Diego. Kind of a tough draw there in hindsight, especially considering that they got the Chiefs early when they were hot.

 

I wouldn't be very surprised to see the Jaguars win 5 or so games this season. I know that isn't a ton, but I don't think that they're going to be the laughing stock of the league either.

I could see the New York Giants taking a step back this season.

 

They weren't really healthy last year, but I could see more of the same this year. They'd be one of my picks for this, though honestly nothing would surprise me with them. I do think a tough division with Philadelphia and Washington being up and Dallas having some talent could be tough on them. They get the NFC West and AFC South as cross-divison opponents.

Yep. Vegas has them on the over/under at 5 wins even, but there's heavy juice on the side of 6. I think it's much more likely they win 5 or more than they win 4 or less, and most of the betting public seems to be of the same opinion.

I want to say his name, its still early, but I just cant jinx it. The QB situation has been a problem for the past 15 years. Hoping for the best here.

I can see Carolina coming back to reality. Something just seems missing with Cam's game. I am thinking 6-10 or 7-9 for the Panthers.

Indianapolis Colts:

 

I don't see them being the team that everyone might be thinking. Reggie Wayne is old. They had some games that they won last season that seemed like statistical anomalies in terms of how many of them they were able to pull out. Cross division games with the NFC East and AFC North. Luck is going to be great, but I could see a sophomore slump, injuries to their wideouts, a lackluster year from Trent Richardson, and the distraction of Jim Irsay being enough to keep them around .500 or below and just missing out on the playoffs.

 

Vegas has them set at Over/Under 9.5 regular season wins, and I'd be inclined to take the under if I were forced to pick one of the two.

Completely agree.

 

All the teams have question marks. Tennessee could be good if Locker stays healthy. Houston could be great if Mallet works out well enough. Jacksonville can't be underestimated. Indianapolis will be good regardless just because of Luck and their amount of talent compared to the other teams, but I don't think they're going to be world-beaters.

 

Really is anyone's game.
