September 19, 201412 yr Back in 1976 Paul Stanley of Kiss wrote a song intended to be recorded by Rod Stewart name "Hard Luck Woman". Because of the success of Kiss drummer Peter Criss with the song "Beth", Kiss decided to keep the tune and have Peter sing it instead. You can totally hear where this song could easily have been a Rod Stewart tune. Peter's voice even makes it sound like Rod, and the style of the song is so Rod Stewart to begin with.

This is the far superior "power ballad" (as far as those things go) to "Beth" by KISS. Great tune. I will also begrudgingly grant that one Garth Brooks did a great version of this song on the tribute album.

September 19, 201412 yr Last one: Springsteen, "Trapped." Very underrated song in his library. The song's release got caught up in all the hysteria and aftermath of Born in the USA. It wasn't part of a studio album, and as a result got limited airplay. This song along with "Candy's Room," are two of my Springsteen less known favorites
