September 14, 201412 yr Always cranked this one up back in the day, from 1981. [video=youtube_share;A51gkF7eu_A]http://youtu.be/A51gkF7eu_A Saw them twice. I believe they opened for Jethro Tull and Pat Benatar. .... Guy I work with loves them , has all their records and still sees them up north.
September 14, 201412 yr Remember this one? "Ice House" by Australian band Ice House It came out of nowhere and was sorta uncharacteristic of WEBN to play it around 1980. I dug it and thought that the singer sounded a little like Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull. I thought that the song was sorta groovy in it's dreamy mysterious kind of way. I never knew this until now, but Ice House has put out about 10 albums and are still together. I don't recall any follow ups to this tune, or much if any mention of them besides this one song.
September 14, 201412 yr Terence Trent D'arby - "Wishing Well" This song and "Sign Your Name" were everywhere in 1987 when he released his first album "Introducing the Hardline According to Terence Trent D'Arby", earning him a Grammy. He released 3 more albums under the TTD name that no one remembers much about, and then he legally changed his name to "Sananda Maitreya" and released about 6 more albums that no one has even heard of.
September 14, 201412 yr From a great album... Love it. Probably one of the most influential albums of my childhood. My older sister's boyfriend gave it to her and she never listened to it, or remembered it when I spoke of it years later, but I played it time and time again.

September 14, 201412 yr From 1981..........I always liked this tune. [video=youtube_share;0FmPg4lrBKc] Truly, I thought about posting this today!!
September 14, 201412 yr If you are exposed to any kind of media at all, you'll hear at least a snippet of it in something. If you listen to "classic rock" radio you'll hear it in full, every two hours. For all I know the reason that it popped into my head this morning could've been subliminally from a commercial on the TV or something. Out of nowhere I just sorta started singing it, so a snippet you're referring to might've triggered it without me really consciously even being aware.
