September 18, 201412 yr From a great album... Love it. Probably one of the most influential albums of my childhood. My older sister's boyfriend gave it to her and she never listened to it, or remembered it when I spoke of it years later, but I played it time and time again. Thank God for your sister's boyfriend.
September 19, 201412 yr Thank God for your sister's boyfriend. No doubt. Being the youngest in my family I was constantly being introduced to a lot of cool music from various sources, and older sisters' boyfriends made big impact for sure. Off the top of my head other than the Neil Young one already mentioned, my Brother-in-law gave me "Dark Side of The Moon" for Xmas when I was just 10 and got me into the Doors. Another Brother-in-law gave me Boston's first album for my 13th Birthday. When I was 8, one of my sisters even dated a guy claiming to be David Gates from Bread (she wanted so much to believe, and it was obvious to me that he looked nothing like him), but it still introduced me to Bread which to this day I dig many of their hit songs. She however ended up with a broken heart.
