February 21, 201511 yr mcpapa spawned these classic guilty pleasures to enter my mind by posting a few numbers in another music thread. Since these are both from the 70's I thought that I post them here. I can't help but to sing along.
February 22, 201511 yr Author Somebody mentioned Styx in another thread and I got on Wiki, to make a long story short.......AWESOME TUNE. [video=youtube_share;MYKVytu5gac]
February 22, 201511 yr When this Genesis song first came out I thought that It was a Seals & Crofts tune.
February 22, 201511 yr I've said it before and I'll say it again. "Valley Girl" had a very underrated soundtrack. Here's the first of two:
February 22, 201511 yr This was a local group that (probably) nobody here has heard - especially live - except for me. They used to play locally when I was a kid.
February 22, 201511 yr This was from my college roommate's least favorite album of mine. Perhaps for good reason. One day while he was in the shower, I hid all of his albums (600+) and placed this one in their stead. He called me a bad name. [video=youtube;aXmp-4lm8Z0]

February 28, 201511 yr I've said it before and I'll say it again. "Valley Girl" had a very underrated soundtrack. Here's the first of two: I heard the actual "Valley Girl" song on the radio yesterday, the Zappa tune where a teenaged Moon Unit is rattling off all the VG phrases and words throughout the song. While I'm not a big Frank Zappa fan, hearing this for the first time in many, many moons brought me to laughter. It peaked at No. 32 on Billboard and became Zappa's lone Top 40 hit. The song was not associated with the movie in any way, I don't believe.
