Pendleton County 87 Augusta 55

Featured Replies

Terry Davis had one of his best games tonight. Not sure how many points he scored but it had to be around 20. Pat did an excellent job rebounding tonight. The Wildcats were just too big for the Panthers tonight.

GO Cats!

Congrats to the wildcats and to Terry Davis. If you watch him play you would never guess he had a broken hand three weeks ago.

Like U Reach I Teach said Augusta made a very promising show Monday night. They played hard, shot well and made some plays that impressed me. Augusta making it to the Regional Tournament is like other teams making it to the State Tournament. My hats off to them and the very excited fans who made their trip worth while. They were led by two players with 12 points a piece(I think it was Hardymon and Gallagher but I could be wrong).

Pendleton County continues its dominance in the 10th Region. They played okay on Monday and was a little overwhelmed by the intriging play of the Panthers. Should be a dandy on Friday night with their third matchup of the season against Humphrey's Cards. PC was led by a shooting exhibition by Terry Davis with a career high 29 points. Elliott had 20 and HurriKane had 11.

Also another good shout out to Phillip Hay and Danny Weddle for keeping my friends and I informed about the Clark/Scott game.

First off, Congrats to the Cats. First time I have seen this team play was tonight and I was impressed. Good team work and alot of good sportsmenship. Your fans have got too be proud. Good luck, win the region and go onto Lexington.

Now for our Panthers, Good job. We are proud of you all. No one (outside of your fans) thought you would have made it this far. You played a very good team tonight and I belive it was there starters most of the night up till the end.

Tonite the team looked a little bit nervous. Missed alot of easy shots in the the early going. We are one defender away of rising to the next level. Just kept leaving one player open to make a shot. Bringing in Freshmen Chris Mofford really helped mix it up in the end of the first half. Maybe another could have helped alittle.

Too our two departing seniors Joe and Levi, Best of luck to you young men. We will surly miss you both . It has been a joy to watch you both play and grow into the men your are.

Again Congrats to both teams and good luck in the furture. Looks bright from where I sitting

Congrats to PC on their great win tonight...like I said if Terry Davis feels like playing he will be a factor. He felt like playing tonight. Hats off to the Panther for playing their hearts out against the Wildcats. The Wildcats are a great team and I still have them going all the way.

I want to thank the team for giving me a great 4 years and helping me accomplish something that hasn't been done in 23 years. Thank you Coaches, Players... especially Levi... It's been a great run. Good luck in the future Panthers, don't let it end here... continue to improve and show people we're not just Augusta!

Congratulations to the Wildcats.

Both teams looked a little flat in the opening minutes of the game, but the size of the Cats just proved to be to strong a factor for the Panthers to overcome. It was 39-20 at halftime which I was disapointed in because Augusta missed so many wide open layups and jumpers. They shot 20% from the field in the first half. A little better shooting and it could have been a game at halftime. PC did a great job on Josh White they kept pressure on him all night. As soon as he made a move to the lane they doubled and forced him to kickout, we just couldn't hit from the outside tonight. The future looks bright in Augusta though with only two departing players who had very solid and commendable careers. The rest of this years team was made up of 4 Jr; 4 So; and 5 Fr. Those freshman I might add were also District runnersup in the Frosh Tourney.

Should be a great game Friday night between the Cats and the Cards,(no not UK and UL) PC and GRC. Good luck to both teams.

I forgot to mention how impressed I was with Augusta's PG Josh White. I know he did not have his best game on Monday, but I saw some things that you can build a solid team around from him. He knows his role, to get his teammates good shots, to drive to the basket and make good plays. He is their floor general and without him the Panthers will struggle even more. Good luck next year.

Also, before the game I was anxious to see how many total points Augusta would put on the board. I seriously was guessing around 36-40. They ended up putting 55 on PC which isn't bad considering last year they only scored 18. 55 isn't a bad scoring night against the Cats. It's actually pretty good. Of the 31 Pendleton County opponents this season, only 11 of them have scored more than 55 points. Not to mention Holmes, Highlands, GRC, Dunbar, Harrison, Montgomery and Scott were one some of the teams that scored less than 55. Augusta has nothing to be ashamed of by last night's result. Good luck next year.

Keep your heads high Panthers, you have nothing to be ashamed of...You bring a lot of excitement to the small town of Augusta...All they want from you is to play your best...You did that!

Congrats to PC on the win, Props also go to the Panthers your playing like a different team of late, congrats to Coach Kelsch and to Levi Gallagher, Josh White in a great last two games, including White's shot of the year.
