So 2 personal fouls and you get ejected? I'm assuming that is a league rule? Was it a targeting hit type of penalty?

 

My problem would be the "walking over" a player getting up after the big hit. Kind of a form of taunting but these kids see this stuff every week on TV.

2 Unsportsmanlike = auto ejection, just like in HS.

It wasn't a targeting penalty it was the walking over part. Bracken County's running back ran a safety flare out of the back field and was looking to catch the football and this player read it perfectly and delivered the hit. Not a dirty hit at all just the walking over him is what got the flag thrown

It was an outstanding hit. Nothing dirty about it. However when the kid stood over him and puffed his chest that was the problem. Kids have a tendency to let their emotions get the best of them in big moments. I don't know if an ejection was called for but if you watched the play you cant deny the kid taunted the player he hit.

 

Hopefully the kid continues to play and hit hard. I think this is an opportunity for a coach to coach his player in the future. Explaining that being excited for a big hit is great but be careful when you do it. Let him know that him being ejected does nothing but hurt the team. Great coaching lesson for the player.

Agree. You don't want to curb the enthusiasm but he needs to understand there's a way to act on the field, have respect for your opponent.

I would like to congreulate the Tichenor Middle School on winning the Large School Championship.

Tichenor in five years of the programs birth has a record of 40-4 with four Championship three

undefeated season.A 2A School in size this season moving up to the large school divison.

Great job again to the kids and that coaching staff. You have really brought that program to a new level. This will make a difference in our high school program. Kids will want to stay and play at Lloyd instead of leaving for another school. Keep up the great work coaches and congrats to all.

As someone who coached against that young man last year, I can say he was in the top 5 in the NKYFL American Division (small school) in terms of overall players.

 

Taylor Mill - outside of Tucker - had another young man who played inside linebacker - not sure what his name is - who was just a notch below in terms of overall effectiveness. Have mass respect for that entire coaching staff for the job they did with team, which, to be fair, wasn't the most stacked with athletes, but ended up being one of the chippiest, toughest groups around. Congrats to the Eagles Junior Staff on that. Looking forward to seeing those young men move forward in the Eagle system!

With the strict weight limits in peewee that seems to be the case. Peewee RB become DB's and WR's, and the athletic lineman become LB'S and RB's in Junior and Senior high.
