Eddie Murray who I'm not sure won an MVP and Mickey Mantle are the first two that come to mind.

 

Mantle was the last position player to accomplish the feat.

1. A journeyman infielder with a number of teams, I once started a game in the infield on one day, finished the game on the mound on another day , AND ..... was the winning pitcher !!!

 

I was the first player to start the game in the field and get the win on the mound since BABE RUTH!!!

1. I hit a homerun on the first pitch I saw in my first major league game.

 

 

2. I finished my career as one of the top base stealers of all time. Cobb and Collins were the only AL'ers with more.

 

3. Me and my fellow Cuban, Yasmani Grandal , both had two dingers in our Major League debuts.

 

4. I infamously threw my bat at Lerrin Lagrow in a playoff series after being hit by a pitch. Billy Martin, the opposing manager , went after me when the benches cleared. I was suspended for the rest of the series but was allowed to play in the World Series as my team beat the Reds.

 

5. I once played all nine positions in a Major League game once, pitching left-handed to lefties and right-handed to righties.

1. I was most definitely a "Dominican Dandy."

 

2. Full windup, high leg kick, outstanding control, and a notorious headhunter. That was me.

 

3. I once cracked a dude twice over the head with a bat, leaving him bloody and me suspended.

 

4. I once pitched a 16 inning complete game shutout. My pitching counterpart also pitched a complete game but gave up a run.

 

5. I was a ten-time All-Star and pitched more All-Star innings than anyone except Drysdale.

 

6. My son-in-law was a World Series MVP with the Reds and there was a memorable shot after the series with his arm around me on the field.

 

7. I won more games than any other pitcher in the 1960's but never received a single CY Young vote in that decade.

I will give everyone a big hint on this one. Commissioner Bowie Kuhn once nixed a proposed trade of this guy to the from the A's to the Redlegs!!!

 

And career batting avg was .104, so I was known for something else.
