General colleges run the camps and fees are paid to the colleges.

As a parent who has taken his son last year to several college camps I can tell you that the colleges that have team camps have them listed with all of there other camps ie individual, skill, youth and team. You pay the school (college or university) on an individual basis.

Joe Prince is NOT a college coach. How does he get to do his camps?

 

From what I'm told kids and their high school coaches use issued equipment from the schools and pay joe prince, high school coach, and his staff. OHS players attend as well. Full contact camp.

Here's your loophole, it's a KWC (Kentucky Wesleyan College) camp and uses its facilities. It appears on KWC's page and calander of events and it appears you register for it through the college.

So you're proven wrong and that's what you come back with. How is it a loophole? And what is your beef with it?

I'm not trying to sound like a jerk here but as someone who hasn't been involved it sounds as if you're just whining by saying it's not fair that they are going to camps and your team isn't. Life isn't fair and not everyone deserves a trophy. If these kids and their families are paying for these camps then they have the right to participate in the scrimmages or whatever they paid for with their money.

This is from earlier in this thread directly from Bylaw 23.

 

Following the season and until organized practice begins for the next season, no football gear other than the helmet may be issued used by a member of the team for any activity except for the approved spring football practice period and issuance of gear to a specific individual for attendance/participation in a specific event at an off campus facility.

According to Mr. Tackett, there can be no more than five players per team allowed to participate in a contact camp prior to August 1st.

KHSAA is saying there is no opportunity for any team activity in full gear prior to August 1st.

ok when I read this I don't see that it says you can't got. I see it saying it can't be held at an individual KHSAA member school. This doesn't say it can't be at a college or university. It also says it can't be at a facility that is utilized by member schools that means KHSAA so that would probably apply to Scott County who plays their games at Georgetown. What I see is that they (Scott County) could not attend that camp since it is their home field. I may be dumbing it here but no where do I see that they can't go to a camp at an outside entity or facility. It appears that again they are dancing around the issue here. Because it keeps talking about it held at a member school not at a college or university.
