9th Region Top 10 Players Candidates

Featured Replies

I've had the chance to watch CVH a lot this summer. He is a nice player for a kid that's going o be a sophomore but to say he's the clear #3 seems irrational to me. There's a lot of talent in that region. Take Ethan Snapp as just one example. You can't convince me that he's better than Snapp. They are different players but...

I'm nothing if not irrational. To the bolded, thanks for the heads up, I certainly won't try. We'll let the on-the-court performances speak for themselves, and of course, we'll always be able to look at the D1 offers the two compile as a way of getting the opinions of those that do it for a living.

I was talking to a D1 coach this afternoon that said after seeing Snapp at his most recent event, he is probably the best underclassmen in NKY that he has seen and the interest and offers will reflect that very soon.

Luckily for us we will know for sure when the two go head to head this season.

Newport is playing a tough schedule this year so Snapp will get plenty of attention...I know they are playing Covcath, Holmes, Dixie, Boone, Withrow (OH), Campbell Co, and Fairdale in the KOB Showcase.

I like Snapp a lot and have seen him play a lot over the last several years. I've seen CVH several times over the last 2 years. Give me CVH... and IMO its not even close.

I think Snapp is better offensively, but CVH is an elite defender. I'd take both on my team any day.

I would agree with this assessment. Watching Snapp a couple of times this summer and most recently last week at the Eddie Ford in L'ville I would say offensively he could be one of the best in NKY along with my personal sleeper Adam Goetz of St. Henry. Snapp has "In the gym" range and can get to the basket almost anytime he wants with his handle. With that said, Snapp must improve his defensive game which I am certain he will.

CVH is very good as well and as you say he can defend very very well but his offensive game is not as good as it's going to be moving forward and he will be called on heavily with the departure of NR.

Both are extremely great players...just different.

I disagree. No way Pangallo is 9th. Too low.

There is not a better shooter in NKY than McNeil.

Pure.

Of those my definite players in the to 10 in no order:

Bolden

McDonald

CVH

Stanley

Weyer

Pangallo

Schreck

Snapp

Last 2 are tough.

This list is in "random order" rather than "no order"

I guess that is correct.

This I believe is Great list.

Stanley has been one of my fav players in the area since he was in 7th grade and I can only imagine how he would be with NCC's talent surrounding him. It's always nice to imagine.

How tall is Stanley? He looks to be the same size since he started being one of your favorite players.

Let's end the charade. Sean McNeil is top 10.

Agreed... some may not like this but is he the best sophomore in NKY? Love CVH but McNeil is making a strong case

TOTALLY DISAGREE WITH THIS... Like they say we will see in the end... and what D1 coach was it? I mean convince me cause from what I have seen all the shots he takes verses what he makes should be really looked at. I personally see him going to a JR. college...
