July 8, 201412 yr Joey Votto is back on the DL. Ailing Reds slugger Joey Votto returns to disabled list with left quad injury | reds.com: News
July 8, 201412 yr Probably an injury away next year to earn the Griffey label. His career was done when the issues with his father came about. Not in his control, but it still affects him.
July 8, 201412 yr His career was done when the issues with his father came about. Not in his control, but it still affects him. He had 2 monster years following the years after his fathers death. Winning the MVP in one of those. His health is what has held him back.
July 8, 201412 yr He had 2 monster years following the years after his fathers death. Winning the MVP in one of those. His health is what has held him back. Mental health, yes I agree.
July 8, 201412 yr Mental health, yes I agree. What about Votto's health has held him back, in your opinion?
July 8, 201412 yr His career was done when the issues with his father came about. Not in his control' date=' but it still affects him.[/quote'] Can't buy this when the guy wins the MVP. When he hurt his knee running or sliding a few years ago, is when it all started.
July 8, 201412 yr His career was done when the issues with his father came about. Not in his control, but it still affects him. :lol2: I'm starting to wonder if you watch the Reds....ever.
July 8, 201412 yr I'm curious to know why his knee has not gotten better. The news made it sound like it was not a significant surgery. Seems pretty significant now. Is this thigh problem in the same leg?
July 8, 201412 yr It's his quad now. Right, one of the four main muscles in the front of this thigh. Is it the same leg?
July 8, 201412 yr Right, one of the four main muscles in the front of this thigh. Is it the same leg? I thought you meant the knee still. I'm not 100% sure but I think it's the same leg.
July 8, 201412 yr It's his physical health. I wouldn't rule out some of his issues being mental, but...physically he's always got something it seems. I will never be a fan of the contract.
July 8, 201412 yr If I was the Reds, I'd demand he find another training/strengthening regimen. I don't know who or where, but different that what he's done. They have way too much invested to get so little a return. As a matter of fact, I'd hire someone for him.
