1) Caldwell Co 2) Desales 3) CAL 4) NCC 5) P'Burg... Glasgow, OB Cath & Bardstown will also be right on the edge of the Top 5.

Predictions are fun, because we can all make them. So.....I'll predict DeSales vs NCC with the Catholic school winning it again. :lol2:

 

Now. Back to reality. The season is long, and lots of things can happen. Injuries, how the team is getting along in the locker room, also remember these are teenage boys, and those pesky girlfriends can play havoc on their minds. But it also takes a little luck to run the table. We had to have some of it last year in Glasgow. I'm looking for a great season in 2A. And I really wish all the teams, the best.

Don't fall asleep on CAL. They did beat Desales in the regular season. They lost to Male 6-0. They played the playoffs without their starting QB. They have a solid program and will be formidable again this year.

 

CAL is our real rival. It's turned into a great series. Can't wait till Oct 17th.

I would say it will be very difficult to predict this year's top 5 until at least 3 games have been played. There are 10 teams that have a legit claim to the top 5.

OB Cath was young last year. They should be very good offensively. If they can just be anything above average defensively, they'll be tough to beat.

What's the rest of NKy going to look like? LLoyd, WVerona, CHCross, Gallatin, Carroll, Newport? What about BLayne, Leslie, SValley from the east? In the west, will Union, Butler, Hancock be improved?

CAL lost a ton last year. Do return running back Nick Payne but will be very very young this year.

Caldwell County lost a few linemen, but should contend again.

O'Cath should be pretty good too.

Walton should be good again and did not lose very many from last years team. There are some good young players as well who should emerge this during the season.

I think their D is fine. I think their O turns the ball over too much and leaves their D on the field way too much.

If there were ever a more appropriate name for a FB player fitting his style, that's it. The guy delivers it.

 

Will be interesting to see if Bardstown can get over the hump in their last year in the district. They have several key linemen returning, and the Tigers tend to be successful when they have good line play.

Bardstown does concern me. They will really give us their best shot after last year. It should be a heck of a game.
