This is a wireless connection on an iPad. I'm switching to Fioptics on Monday. Each month, my wireless connection goes down the toilet. I can't load certain sites, I can't stream movies, etc.

Wow, that's pretty good! Is that a wired or wireless connection? If that's a wireless connection I want Verizon Fios phone number!

The connection from Verizon is fiber optic cable right to the house. Internally, I get the same speeds, wired or wireless, because I do not used the Verizon wireless router.

Mrs. S watches streaming video on her Apple TV and plays Farm Town while I am streaming programs on my Roku and watching live sports feeds and surfing the net on on my laptop. No buffering.

Verizon is offering a new 75/35 service for $10 more a month, right now.

Time Warner Cable's supposedly 20 Meg internet.

Cable internet connection speed varies with the number of users on the service at a specific point in time. If it's not during peak times that's slowing you down, you should have them troubleshoot your service. Squirrels have caused me problems in the past, they tend to chew on lines.
