As I (and others) have said here, it would be beneficial to try & bring an experienced coach on this staff. I like the Belcher boys & Sowder a lot. I believe they will do well, but I also think a seasoned assistant could be very helpful.

I'm not sure how long he's been coaching, but he has not been a head coach at the Varsity level.

I agree. This staff needs a seasoned assistant that knows the ins and outs of the season in helping this young staff. I believe Sowder has been there 6 or 7 years. He is more of a players coach and relates really well to the kids.

Not always. Sometimes they can cause friction, because they think they know more. You have to have people that you can trust, and Keaton has done just that. He and his staff will be fine.

Could not agree more with this statement. Unless it would be someone who would be trusted 100% by Keaton it could be a negative and greatly hurt the program. It HAS to be the right fit.

 

Wirth seems to be the logical/easy choice. I would expect it to be him.

There will be one more assistant coach hired. There have been applicants, but I don't know who they are.
