Personally, I've never been to one of those crystal clear water beaches, but what about those? Do people just watch that stuff next to them?

And I'm not totally educated on shark knowledge, nor do I watch shark week. But... Wouldn't like. The dorsal fin be showing or something?

Pay close attention next time and you'll find your dorsal fins. Also a great tip...wear polarized glasses when you go to the beach

Why?

Why?

Because you can see things you might not catch with the naked eye. Three times now, I've spotted 5-8' sharks swimming right past me in waist deep water. That'll get your blood to flowing

Definitely been in the ocean and been within 20 yards of a shark on more than one occasion. Like spin said, go out on the pier and look around. You might be surprised.

Last year, I caught 104 sharks ranging from 18" to 6' during a Saturday to Saturday stay in Hilton Head. That was right off the public beach

I am a scuba diver, and I feel much safer diving underwater in scuba gear than I do wading or swimming off the beach or in the surf.

I was savagely attacked in the Gulf just two weeks after first watching Jaws by a crab that pinched my ankle. Jesus would have been proud of my water walking. :lol2:

I think if I actually encountered a shark off the beach I might be able to fly.

I almost peed on myself the first time a big one swam by me in knee deep water. It freaked me out like never before. Then I recovered and started trying to catch it lol.

Wow, is it fun to catch sharks deep sea fishing?

It's fun to catch sharks anytime, IMO. There's nothing like catching a big shark.

The biggest one I've seen caught in person was probably about 5 feet. Caused quite the commotion on the pier. Luckily I was pretty close to the guy when he first hooked it, so I got to stand there and watch. They had to throw a rope down in the water and pretty much lasso it to pull it up out of the water.

I love bringing one up on the beach when other people are there. It always causes people to go nuts lol
