A Lot of People Didn't Understand The Concept Of The TeamCast

Featured Replies

I think we all have to remember not everyone is a diehard hoops fan. I am not. So when I went looking for the games yesterday I quickly realized they were not on CBS, on the first game I ended up with one of the teamcasts not realizing "Teamcasts" were being done and it was SO BAD that I quit watching the game. Then the station I had on had the UK Teamcast next and I thought to myself this is the absolute most horrible game call I have ever heard (at any level). It basically ruined my experience until they had one of the explanations and I found the national broadcast on the Hallmark Channel or the Lifetime Movie Channel or wherever it was out. My point being, I believe the Teamcasts are a GREAT idea but the powers to be blew the implementation. Remember folks, the final four is an event for the masses and the masses don't keep up with diehard drama.

It said in the screen that it was a teamcast.

What is the teamcast? I am guessing it's just audio? How do you find it on ten internet? I'd like to watch the game and listen to Rex ect do the play by play.

It was on TNT last night for UK. Bromley and Chapman called the game. Tru TV had the Wisconsin crew.

Exactly. It's not the networks fault that people don't pay attention.

Bromley is boring and Rex is just not a broadcaster, at all. Baker is the only one of the 3 I would listen to and he was hardly utilized, basically he was a sideline reporter.

I agree with theguru, it is a great idea, but it was also poorly executed. It would have been 10 times better if they had just synced up Tom Leach's radio feed with the video and let it go like that.

I am a UK fan and hated the broadcast. I thought Rex was poop. Rex said "that's a man's rebound" 15 times. I watched it all there, but in the future, will listen to the unbiased non-homer broadcast.

I hated the "teamcast" concept. Put the final games on CBS only.

Et tu Greta Van Susteren? Smh

I didn't watch the team telecast, wanted more of an unbiased view from the announcers, although one of the national announcers appeared somewhat biased to me.

I liked the concept, UK just has terrible announcers. I would have loved it had they let Leach and Pratt do it. I'm with spindoc, Chapman just isn't very good and Bromley puts me to sleep.

Biggest TV audience ever for final four game.

Maybe they counted all those people in that church too.

I agree. I like those two.

Don't forget the ever popular "eat glass, big man" :lol2:

Leach and Pratt would be ideal.

Who else?

Where is Mike Conley

Heck, Macy and Kenny Sky Walker would have been better than Rex
