Not sure why Jones didn't play much in the second half. He was great in the first.

Garrard was non existent for most of the game, but really took over in the fourth to get it to overtime. I was extremely impressed by Wells. He's going to be a good one.

The Cards dominated inside in OT.

In the post game, Coach said the lack of rebounding ability by Jones limited his PT. Paris is going to be very good next year. Dowing is a load. GRC amazes me how they rebound being so small. Thought Riley played a heck of a game.

Paris' youth showed in OT.

I thought this would be a close game. Paris really impressed me earlier this year. Congrats to GRC.

Sounds like a dandy. Congrats to GRC on the tough win.

Paris will keep getting better.

[h=1]Cards survive Paris in OT[/h]

Although the Hounds hadn’t beaten Clark since 1996, Humphrey was concerned about his team’s postseason opener.

Clark led 45-41 with 38 seconds remaining in regulation but Paris took advantage of a turnover and scored the last four points of the fourth quarter, forcing an extra period. Damion King’s desperation trey at the buzzer bounced off the rim.

The two teams traded leads three times until Clark scored six in a row for a 53-48 advantage with 50 seconds remaining in OT. Despite the five-point margin, the Cards had to make three charity tosses in the closing seconds to hold off the Hounds.

“I’m extremely proud of Riley and it has absolutely nothing to do with points,” Humphrey said. “It has to do with the demeanor and the poise he played with.Paris scored the first three points of the second half, trimming the margin to 27-25 and remained within striking distance until Caudill came through again, this time nailing a 3-pointer from the top of the key for a 36-29 Clark lead with 3:31 remaining in the third quarter.

“We’re going to enjoy Paris on the bus ride back (to Winchester),” he said. “We’ll think about Montgomery when we put that thing in park.”

Agree, our local photographer does a great job.

Paris' youth showed in OT.

I wondered about that when I saw the score. They are pretty good, but very young. I'd expect them to be in the district title discussion for the next couple of years.

Closer than I expected.
