Holmes has better size and athleticism across the board. I'm guessing King will try to guard Bolden, unless GRC exclusively plays 2-3 zone.

GRC plays lockdown defense. Blanton could potentially get the Holmes bigs in foul trouble. GRC rebounds really well for a smaller team.

The ride from GRC up here is a long one. Sometimes that takes it out of the kids, so I'm going with Holmes at home by 15. I think it will be close for at least half the game, but expect Holmes' depth to take its toll as the game wears on.

I too see King on Bolden. King is our best defender. He usually guards their best player, doesn't matter how big they are. Our defense is what keeps us in games. GRC will have to play for 4 full quarters to pull the huge upset along with having a great offensive night. Agree on our rebounding. They amaze me on how they can rebound with the taller players.

Wow,,,,,,The way Holmes has been bounceing along this could be the nite they lose one that should not even be close, but I will give them the benefit of doubt,,Holmes by 9

Dont remember names but when i saw GRC last year I liked their young talent. They get after it defensively and played the Dogs tough at home, getting Bolden in early foul trouble.

I think Holmes comes out a little more motivated after their recent stretch of close games and wins by around 15.

Goldie, I'll be posting updates on Twitter if you want to relay them on here.

Thanks, my mom is here so I don't know if I will get to, but I will try. I don't remember getting Bolden in foul trouble last year, but I do remember GRC held them to 2 points in the 3rd quarter.

If this game follows the typical GRC pattern, it'll be somewhat close (as in 8 points or less) after three quarters & then Holmes wins by 12-15.

GRC usually plays good for 3 quarters. In our last game against E. Jessamine, the 4th was a good quarter and we came back but it was too late. Early in the season the 2nd quarter was our doom. We need King, Blanton and Riley to all have big scoring nights. Good inside game by Jones, then Sharrock, Green and others to fill in the gaps.
