Got down 30-20 in the third quarter then a McClendon 3, Chames dunk, and back to back 3's by Bolden for an 11-0 run put them back in the game.

McClendon picked up his 4th foul with 2:11 left in the 3rd quarter and didn't re enter the game until there was 1:14 left. Sank 2 ft's two extend their lead to 5 or 7 and Holmes traded baskets/made free throws down the stretch to seal the game.

 

Jenkins, D Pulliam, and Thompson are nice players for the Thorobreds. Really like Jenkins length and aggressiveness with the ball.

Harrison County has a lot of talent, but they are inconsistent IMO. Jenkins is a really good guard & I like watching him in transition. Gets to the basket really well.

Something just isn't right in Bulldog land. They should beat a solid HC team by 15-20. Kudos to HC for taking it to them for most of the game.

Rough first half for Holmes with Bolden sitting the first 9 mins and then Chames and Hill sitting much of the 2nd qtr with 2 fouls.

 

Definetly credit HC though. They attacked Holmes off the dribble and defensively were very active and vocal in their zone. Once Holmes was able to start scoring and get the tempo up, HC simply couldn't keep up. 16-2 run by Holmes spanning from the 2:11 mark of the 3rd to 5:56 mark of the 4th put Holmes in control.

 

HC cut the lead to 49-48 with around 2 mins left after a Holmes turnover then got a stop defensively but Hill got a big strip inside to get the ball back for Holmes. Bulldogs sealed it at the line.

Both Chames and Bolden have had to ride the pine in a coach's decision in the last few weeks. Don't know anything for sure, but it does lead one to believe something ain't right.

Agreed on HC having talent. They have good size and some athletes. They put on a show in warm ups. Nice length too with 6'4 plus at all three front court positions.

 

Look no further than their win over Cooper and then loss to Cooper to prove their inconsistency.

Holmes is overrated IMO. Great potential but should beat Harrison by 20+
