I would go with Ruthsatz as POY of the 9th. I thought this before the State Title. McDonald had a great season but he should be able to get POY next year and Hatton had some injury problems with his back that slowed him down. Ruthsatz just does so much on the court. I am not saying he is a better player but I would take Ruthsatz on my team over any player in the 9th this year.

Ruthsatz has been the best player in the region all year long. Not even a contest here

Ask coaches in the 9th region and you will get a different answer. I have and he gets a lot more respect than you are giving him. Not saying he should win, but to say he shouldn't be in the conversation in a gross misstatement.

Why because he doesn't shoot 25 times a game so his points per game is not what others are? There is more to basketball than points per game.

 

He is a tough match up that draws a lot of attention from opposing teams.

 

IMO he deserves to be in the discussion for POY.
