Jenkins is in your district so it was a good idea to play them, so was KCC didn't see them on your schedule. But it was important to play Riverside,Piarist twice and schedule Matewan. Well yeah - Jenkings, Besty Lane, Breathitt, and Owsley could all be considered less than top calilber. Although these teams fail far in comparison to 5 games with teams such as Riverside, David, etc.

 

Betsy Layne was playing badly when they faced JBS earlier this year. If they met now, things would be different.

 

This score is not surprising. That tough schedule JBS plays is really getting them ready for the district tournament.

Hazard has five players in double figures and Wallace didn't play. Therefore its no longer Hazard depending on Hicks for all their offense. What a problem for their opponents. They have to guard all five players. Good Luck Bulldogs!

How much would you contribute loosing a 6'9" center and having to replace him to this loss ? Collins would have made a difference. You just seem to overlook every thing except playing Riverside.

Guys I have never seen JBS play, but you are acting like a bunch of petty, confrontation children picking on them constantly on here. Maybe someone on here went to Alice Lloyd and got cut I dont know.

 

First of all a 12 point loss to a good team when you lead at half is not a SPANKING. The Stepp kid is obviously pretty good as I see he averages about 25 per game. Laid 29 on a good Hazard team. Lay off the kid because he is just that a KID. I have been reading the other threads about JBS and find it disturbing. I dont agree with a weak schedule but someone has to play the weaker teams or they would have no games at all. I think if all you can do is be negative about JBS, then you shouldnt follow the posts. I am from Pikeville and we are weak but I dont bash them. I believe a stronger schedule does prepare you for tourney time but I dont believe in bashing everyone. I played against Ervin and Gary Stepp in High School and both were nice young men and great ball players.
