Yea, pretty sad when you have 6'1 Drew Houliston who has been a 2 guard his entire life guarding the 5 spot. He was putting a body on Chames the other night, pushing him around and doing a pretty nice job.

Now that Birds are on a little roll where are all of the negative Nellies? It is okay if you stay away, actually it is preferred.

 

I said a few weeks ago that Highlands had started to turn the corner a little. They are not going to contend for a regional title, but they can be competitive with the teams outside of the top 5. They certainly lack size, but Coach Listerman has gotten them to buy in on defending and playing with energy and emotion. As a direct result of defending well, things have opened up on the offensive end for a lot better looks at the basket. Still saying that Rome was not built in a day, but things are heading in the right direction from the high school program all the way down through the middle school program.

I do realize that, but you had no problem posting stuff for earlier games and now we get nothing? Team is playing well right now and hopefully they can continue their little run going into the postseason. Currently what they lack in size they are making up for with heart and determination. They are proving to be a rather gritty bunch and finding ways to finish off games that they may have lost earlier in the year.

You're the one that suggested I not comment, if I had not seen the team play. I agreed and have not since. I will probably be at the regionals. If they make it, I will catch their game.

Lets hope Buten comes back after hurting shoulder (same one he had surgery on last season?). Kid can play, he took it right at Bolden Fri night and came out firing today netting 10 in the 1st.

My 7th grade stepson was impressed with BB against Holmes. He said his favorite was when he broke Beetle Bolden's ankles on a move during the Holmes game.
