Final

Brenden Stanley had 38 for Boone and Tanner White had 32 for Ryle. Stanley was in a zone slicing and dicing and a couple three's. Tanner White was on fire with the 3's. Boone played excellent "D".

Asst. Coach Tackett for Ryle got T'd up for yelling at refs in the first half so McFarland had the seat belt the rest of the game.

Good to hear. He's such a nice kid AND he's one of the best passers in the 9th so he sometimes passes too much. He needs to "be the man" like this more often.

Boone County needed this win after losing 4 in a row. Was this a seeding game? Where does the seeding stand in this district?

As a Ryle supporter, I can honestly say that Stanley is a top player in the 4th. He is so developed... Even better news for Boone, he still has room to improve and be even more dominant. Congrats to Boone and a tip of the cap to Mr. Stanley.

9th. Haha.

The 33rd has all of their games as seeding games.

Boone has one of the best web sites I've seen for a high school sports team with all this info. You can check it out at Boone County Boys' Basketball

So if Boone beats Cooper on Saturday they clinch the top seed in the district. Cooper has to sweep Boone to win the district.

All the snow day pick up ball must have got Stanley in the zone. He owned the pick up game I watched.

Keep at em B!

We hadn't seen a scoring output like that all year. He owned the second and third quarter. Ryle picked up the defense in the 4th, cutting into Boone's 18 point lead and cut it to 9. Congrats on the career high Brenden. He's a junior, and a very nice player.

Ryle fought hard in the fourth and actually closed from an 18-point deficit to 6 points with about 4 minutes to play in a mad push. Boone thwarted the rest of the comeback. Mr. Stanley was on fire, particularly in the third quarter. He is certainly the best player in the district IMHWO. Tanner got really hot in stretches, too. Fun game to watch and congrats to Boone. I'm pretty sure these two teams will get a rematch at Ryle in the first round of the district if Boone beats Cooper once. If Cooper wins both games, Cooper would earn the #1 seed and play Ryle. District tourney will be totally up for grabs.

None of these teams will make any noise in the 9th region. But they have made the districts rather fun and interesting

Hands down.
