February 4, 201412 yr Did the teen brandish a weapon? Nope. The guy claims he saw a gun. None of the teens had any type of weapon on them, nor was any weapon found in the area, save the one the guy used to commit murder.

Excerpts from letters written by Dunn from prison that will be introduced as evidence: While claiming in a letter to his grandmother that he's not a racist, Dunn repeatedly refers to Davis and his friends as thugs, and in a letter to his daughter he talks about how "the jail is full of blacks and they All act like thugs." Here are a few excerpts from the letters. In a letter to his grandmother (name redacted) on February 20: "I'm not really prejudiced against race, but I have no use for certain cultures. This gangster-rap, ghetto talking thug 'culture' that certain segments of society flock to is intolerable." In a letter to Rhonda, his girlfriend, on June 14: "I just got off the phone with you and we were talking about how racist the blacks are up here. The more time I am exposed to these people, the more prejudiced against them I become." In a letter to his daughter on July 12: "This may sound a bit radical, but if more people would arm themselves and kill these (expletive) idiots when they're threatening you, eventually they may take the hint and change their behavior."

February 4, 201412 yr From what appears to be the case as represented, he looks to be going away for a long time. Wouldn't murder on it's own be a Hate Crime? How do you define a Hate Crime?
