Cooper beat NCC tonight in the semi finals. It will be Cov Cath vs Cooper in the finals.

Congratulations to the Cooper Jag's JV on their win against NCC.

Cooper beat Boone today. My understanding is that they play NCC Monday at 6:30 at Cooper.

Boone coaches have to be re-thinking their bad choice of adding a new player to their roster so late in the season. It might have been to their benefit to have the kid practice the last several weeks and start fresh next year. Hard to watch a kid play who didn't know the plays or instincts

of the other players. The chemistry that was built during their great season was destroyed in a matter of 2 games. One hard working starter lost his spot

And

Others moved to accomadate new player. Pretty big game to play with the lineup.Heard tonight coach was blaming the players for lost team chemistry. Players were told at least 3 starters were

Not starting next game against Holmes. Wonder if it will be the three players who got technicals. Let's hope the right decisions are made to end the season on a high note.

CCH on Monday, Feb 17th.

CovCath Feb. 17th at 6pm prior to the Freshmen Championship game!

Why is this played at CCH every year? Do the other high schools have the opportunity to step up and host this tourney?

I think CovCath only hosts the Frosh tourney and the JV tourney is played out on various courts until the Final. Then that is played before the Frosh Championship game and makes a nice DH. As for CovCath always hosting the Frosh tourney it has basically been that way forever and they do a great job with it.

A huge thank you to Mark Wehry and Rich Maile of CovCath Internet Radio,

as they will bring you both the following games live:[TABLE]

I agree that they do a great job, but that's not to say that any other school could not do just as well if not better. Then you have the opportunity to occasionally enjoy your pop, pretzels and popcorn while watching some pretty good basketball. :thumb:

Hey have at. Remember that a school has to give up practice time on the court (for both Boys and Girls teams) for the entire Frosh tourney so not many schools or coaches will be willing to do it. Then round up a herd of volunteers to run concessions, scoreboards, work the door, clean the gym after everyone leaves etc. Buy some trophies, get rosters, make a schedule and hope it does not snow forcing teams to not be able to play.
