May 1, 201412 yr We have around 15 in-state players with D1 offers heading into their junior or senior seasons. Many of them with interest from Kentucky. I consider them "elite". We have three Four Star Linemen in the state that are ranked very high Nationally. I consider them "Elite". We have two quarterbacks ranked Nationally. I consider them "elite". We have two running backs ranked Nationally. I consider them "elite". We have two outstanding linebackers ranked Nationally. I consider them "elite". How elite do they have to be to play for Kentucky? Your right here, but before you pretty much were saying any D1 football player from KY was good enough to play for UK. On average there is about 5-7 guys a year that can, this year is a little different in that regard.

This year it looks like maybe 8 or 9 could get schollies. Last year the kids who signed BCS offers were the only ones who could play at UK and they got most of them. You basically said if a kid was good enough for WKU he was good enough for UK which he isn't in most cases.
