I'm not stuck in the old times, I don't expect every player on UK's roster to be from Kentucky. I just want the great in-state players to have the opportunity to play for the flag ship college in the state. Look at the rosters for State Universities in other states, they have the top in-state talent on there. Yes, they have players from other states as well, but they have a good number of in-state players.

I agree I would love for all the players that are capable to compete in the SEC play for UK.

I am not sure why you feel that WKU is getting the elite talent in the state. Elite talent is not going to WKU, if they are not going to UK or UL they are going to bigger schools.

Then, they change the argument to "well they are in lesser BCS conferences". The fact remains, the state of Kentucky produced 39 FCS bound players last year.

Am I saying UK doesn't need in state talent? They need the top 5 or so an get the rest from elsewhere. KY doesn't have the talent pool of a Alabama, Florida, Texas, California etc. KY and South Carolina are about on the same level talent wise in state. Without looking I'd tell you USC on gets the top 5 or so every year then looks elsewhere.

They aren't BCS. There are 5 BCS conference now. These are the ones that used to get automatic berths into BCS games. WKU doesn't play in any of those conferences

That is exactly what bothers me. Why get the rest from "somewhere else". I have told you that the state has 9 Nationally ranked players in the class of 2015, why would UK not want all 9? Why is a player from somewhere else automatically better? On top of those 9, there are going to be, at least, 10 other in-state players that go to big D1 colleges to play football. That is 19 player that are good enough to play at other big D1 college, but only 4 or 5 are worthy to play at Kentucky. That way of thinking amazes me.

I want to be, I don't root against them, but I stopped really going out of my way to root for them because of this issue. This is the only issue I have with UK.

There's a difference between being recruited which is sending letters, and having an offer. I bet by the end of the year there will be about 8 or 9 if KY boys are lucky. And UK needs to get them... Were arguign the same thing here RAM. I just don't think you realize how good a player has to be to play in the SEC or any other big 5 conference
